San Francisco-based ThousandEyes, a provider of digital experience intelligence, has appointed Godfrey Sullivan to its board of directors. Sullivan is the former chairman and CEO of Splunk. ThousandEyes' backers include GV.
Silicon Valley-based Coursera, an online learning platform, has secured $103 million in Series E funding. SEEK Group led the round with participation from return backers Future Fund and New Enterprise Associates.
BostonGene, a biomedical software provider, has raised $50 million in Series A funding. The investor was NEC Corporation.
San Francisco-based Hover, which is focused on creating "a single source of truth for the physical world," has raised $25 million in Series C funding. Menlo Ventures led the round with participation from return backers including GV and Standard Industries. In addition to the funding, Matt Murphy, a partner at Menlo Ventures, will join Hover's board of directors.
Vue.ai, a developer of an AI platform that helps online retailers, has raised $17 million in Series B funding, according to a blog post on its site. Falcon Edge Capital led the round with participation from previous backers Sequoia and Global Brains.
Savonix, a cognitive health company, has raised $9.6 million in funding. Fusion Fund and Wavemaker Partners led the round with participation from DEFTA Partners, Rethink Impact and DigiTx Partners.
UK-based video startup Synthesia has secured $3.1 million in funding. The investors included LDV Capital and Mark Cuban.
Santa Monica, California-based Happy Returns, a provider of return and logistics solutions for retailers and their customers, has raised $11 million in funding. The backers included PayPal, U.S. Venture Partners and Upfront Ventures.
Rethink Education is seeking to raise $150 million for its third fund, according to an SEC filing. The White Plains, New York-based venture firm invests in educational tech startups.
UK-based BestBid, a multi-agent home vendor, has secured 500,000 pounds in seed funding. Hambro Perks led the round.
