Cultivian Sandbox Ventures has closed its third venture fund at $135 million. Cultivian Sandbox Food & Agriculture Fund III will invest in food and agriculture technology companies.
Menlo Park, California-based Astound, a developer of an AI platform for employee service, has raised $15.5 million in Series B financing. March Capital Partners led the round with participation from return backers Vertex Ventures, Pelion Venture Partners, Moment Ventures and the Slack Fund.
Singapore-based biotech startup RWDC Industries has raised $22 million in funding. Vickers Venture Partners and Eversource Retirement Plan Master Trust, the pension fund of Eversource Energy, led the round.
Chesapeake, Virginia-based Decisions LLC, a provider of no-code business rule and process automation software, has secured $40 million in funding. The backer was Aldrich Capital Partners.
Payrix Payments Technology, a technology platform for flexible payments, has secured $22 million in funding. The lead investor was Blue Star Innovation Partners, a fund founded by Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones, the Jones family and entrepreneur Rob Wechsler and Providence Strategic Growth, the growth equity affiliate of Providence Equity Partners.
Metabase, an open source business intelligence data platform, has raised $8 million in Series A funding, according to a blog post on its site. New Enterprise Associates led the round.
Massachusetts-based Locus Robotics, a maker of autonomous mobile robots for fulfillment warehouses, has secured $26 million in Series C funding. The investors included Zebra Ventures and Scale Venture Partners.
Sight Machine Inc, a digital manufacturing platform, has raised $29.4 million in Series C funding. LS Group led the round.
Dallas-based Novo Labs, a provider of conversational artificial intelligence services for large restaurant chains, has secured $2 million in seed funding. Silverton Partners led the round. In addition to the funding, Roger Chen of Silverton Partners will join Novo Labs' board of directors.
Swoot, a newly launched podcasting app, has $3 million in seed funding. True Ventures led the round.
