Charity Checkout has raised $1 million in funding led by Chris Hulatt and Simon Rogerson, founders of Octopus Group. The round also included four existing investors. Charity Checkout, of the U.K., is an online fundraising platform.
Ometria has raised $6 million in series A funding. Strategic investors include Summit Action, Sonae IM and Samos Investments and Adjuvo. Also taking part in the round were: Sir George Buckley, chairman of Black & Decker; Lance Batchelor, CEO of Saga and ex-MD of Amazon; Alan Parker, chairman of Mothercare; and, Matt Cooper, chairman at Octopus Investments. Existing investors also contributed, including fifteen original angels, as did SaatchInvest and Force Over Mass Capital. Ometria provides an AI-powered customer marketing platform.
Fuel50 has raised a $2.5 million Series A round led by Rincon Venture Partners and Bonfire Ventures. Fuel50 provides career pathing software for companies.
Poynt, the payments company founded by the former head of Google Wallet, is out fundraising, three sources said. The Palo Alto, California, company is seeking $50 million with its latest round, the people said. FT Partners is advising, two of the sources said. Maven Capital Partners has invested 1 million pounds ($1.34 million) in hedgehog lab Limited. Hedgehog lab, of Newcastle, U.K., is a mobile app designer and technology consultancy. 
Deliveroo said Sept. 24 that it raised $358 million in new funding led by T. Rowe Price Associates Inc and Fidelity Management & Research Company. Existing investors DST Global, General Catalyst, Index Ventures, and Accel Partners are also investing. Deliveroo, of London, is an online food delivery company.
Analytical Space said Sept. 25 that it has raised $3.5 million in seed funding led by The Engine and Space Angels. NXT Ventures participated as well as Flybridge Capital Partners, Shasta Ventures, Yard Ventures, Dream Incubator, and Dorm Room Fund. Analytical Space, of Cambridge, Massachusetts, is building a commercial optical communication data relay network in low Earth orbit.
Activehours said Sept. 21 that it raised $39 million in funding led by Andreessen Horowitz. Matrix Partners, Ribbit Capital and March Capital Partners also participated. Activehours, of Palo Alto, is a mobile app that lets people access their pay directly from their smartphones.
Menusifu has raised a $3 million Series A round. Jubilee Capital Management and Amino Capital participated in the round. Menusifu, of New York, provides software to restaurants that cater to mobile-first customers.
SES, the satellite operator, said Sept. 14 that it is investing in Seraphim Capital’s space fund. Financial terms weren’t announced. The fund aims to invest in projects that are commercializing data about the Earth, collected by either satellite or remotely piloted aircraft systems.
