Landon Tucker has joined Fifth Wall Ventures as its first entrepreneur-in-residence, according to a blog post from Brad Greiwe, co-founder and managing partner. Tucker was previously a senior analyst at Trian Fund Management. Andriy Mykhaylovskyy has also joined Fifth Wall as principal and COO. Mykhaylovskyy was previously with Elliot Management.
Bicycle Therapeutics said June 1 it closed a 40 million pound ($51.4 million) Series B financing round led by Vertex Ventures HC. New investors Cambridge Innovation Capital and Longwood Fund also participated in the round, while existing investors Novartis Venture Fund, SROne, SVLS and Atlas Venture took part. Bicycle Therapeutics, of Cambridge, England, is a biotechnology company.
TouchBistro said May 31 that it raised C$16.3 million ($12.1 million) in Series C funding led by Napier Park Financial Partners and Recruit Holdings Co Ltd. Existing investors including BDC IT Venture Fund, Relay Ventures and Kensington Capital Partners also participated. TouchBistro is an iPad mobile point of sale app for restaurants.
Saluda Medical Pty Ltd said May 30 that it raised A$53 million ($40 million) in financing led by Action Potential Venture Capital. Existing investors, including Medtronic PLC, also participated in the round. Saluda Medical, of Bloomington, Minnesota, is a medical device company.
AB Tasty said May 30 that it raised a $17 million Series B round from Korelya Capital and Partech Ventures. Also participating were previous investors Xange Private Equity and Omnes Capital.
Rentalutions said May 25 that it closed a $2 million funding round led by Cultivation Capital. Other investors in the round include M25 Group and Sandalphon Capital. Rentalutions, of Chicago, is an online platform that aims to streamline the rental process for landlords and tenants.
Rackspace said May 24 that it named Joe Eazor its new CEO effective June 12th. Most recently, Eazor was CEO of EarthLink. Jeff Cotten, who has served as Rackspace’s interim CEO, will continue as president. Rackspace is a portfolio company of Apollo Global Management.
TP Therapeutics Inc has raised $45 million in a Series C financing round co-led by Lilly Asia Ventures (LAV), OrbiMed Advisors LLC and S.R. One Ltd. The round was joined by existing investors Cormorant Asset Management and SV Tech Ventures. TP Therapeutics, of San Diego, is a clinical-stage biopharmaceutical company focused on addressing oncology drug resistance.
StaffConnect Group said May 23 that it has secured over $1 million in seed financing from Finance South East and a strategic list of angel investors. StaffConnect, of London and San Francisco, provides a mobile employee engagement platform.
Long Game has raised $4 million in seed funding from Collaborative Fund and Thrive Capital, among others. Long Game, of San Francisco, is a personal finance app that encourages users to save money while winning prizes.
