NuoDB, which provides a cloud-based database management system, has raised $14.2 million in new funding led by French-based 3D modelling software developer Dassault Systèmes. Also joining the round are existing investors Canvas Venture Fund (formerly known as Morgenthaler Ventures), Hummer Winblad Venture Partners and Longworth Venture Partners. The Cambridge, Mass.-based company has now raised $26.2 million in total funding.

Ad tech startup AdStage has raised $1 million in seed funding from returning investor Digital Garage, giving the San Francisco-based startup $2.5 million in total financing. Previous investors include Freestyle Capital, Digital Garage, Quest Venture Partners, 500Startups, LAUNCH Fund, XG Ventures and individual investors Mark Mullen, Stewart Alsop and others.

ThreatStream, which provides a cloud-based platform to examine cybersecurity threats, announced it has raised a $4 million Series A round of funding. Google Ventures led the round, with participation from Paladin Capital Group and individual investors Tom Reilly, former CEO of ArcSight and current CEO of Cloudera, and Hugh Njemanze, former CTO and founder of ArcSight. Reilly, Njemanze and Google Ventures General Partner Karim Faris are on the board of ThreatStream.

The Mayfield Fund has closed its second dedicated India fund with the equivalent of $108 million in commitments. The firm makes early-stage investments in India, targeting companies in the infrastructure sector, tech and tech-enabled services and the consumer middle class. Mayfield raised $111 million for its first India fund in 2008. However, Managing Director Navin Chaddha told peHUB that because the rupee has depreciated in value over the years, the rupee-denominated second India fund is actually 25% larger than its predecessor.
San Francisco-based Klout has reportedly been acquired for $100 million by Lithium Technologies. The companies have not yet announced a deal, but online publications, including re/code reported last week that the deal is closed. Klout, which measures the influence of users on social media, has raised at least $40 million in known financing since it was founded in 2008.
Hoopla, which develops sales performance improvement software, has raised $8 million in a Series B round of funding led by Trinity Ventures. Existing investors Safeguard Scientifics and Illuminate Ventures also participated in the round. The San Jose, Calif.-based company has now raised $10.8 million in total funding, having raised a $2.8 million Series A round in mid-2012. As part of the Series B round, Larry Orr, general partner of Trinity, has joined the board.
Tintri, a provider of storage management technology for virtual machines, has raised a $75 million Series E round of funding led by Insight Venture Partners. Existing investors Lightspeed Venture Partners, Menlo Ventures and New Enterprise Associates also participated. The Mountain View, Calif.-based company has now raised $135 million in total funding since it was founded in 2008. As part of the new funding, Jeff Horing of Insight Venture Partners, has joined the board of directors.
