MOVE Guides, which provides a software-as-a-service platform to help employees relocate, announced today that it has raised $1.8 million in seed funding from Notion Capital and New Enterprise Associates. The funding brings the total seed capital raised by the London-based startup to $2.4 million. In addition to Notion Capital and NEA, a number of individuals also participated in the funding round, including Sherry Coutu, Tom Hulme, Sean Park, Dale Murray CBE and Kevin Eyres.

CoachUp, which helps connect athletes with private coaches via the desktop and a mobile app, has raised $6.7 million in Series A funding co-led by Point Judith Capital and General Catalyst Partners. Other new investors in the Boston-based company include Data Point Capital, Suffolk Equity Partners and individual investors, including Paul English (co-founder and CTO of Kayak.com) and Albert Dobron (managing director at Providence Equity Partners). Current investor Breakaway Ventures (Dennis Baldwin, former CMO of Reebok) also participated in the round. The company told peHUB that it had previously raised $2.2 million in seed funding from General Catalyst and Breakaway in November 2012. As part of the Series A round, Sean Marsh of Point Judith Capital has joined the board, which also includes David Fialkow of General Catalyst.
Apartment List, which operates an apartment search engine for the rental market, has raised a $15 Million Series A round of funding round. Matrix Partners led the round. As part of the funding, Dana Stalder, general partner of Matrix, has joined the board of the San Francisco-based company. Apartment List, which launched in late 2011, had previously been bootstrapped.

Recommendation engine Qloo announced it has closed a $3 million round of seed funding, which includes a recently raised $1.6 million infusion from angel investors Samih Toukan and Hussam Khoury, founders of Maktoob, and Tommy Thompson, founding partner of Cross Creek Pictures. They join investors from Kindler Capital and celebrity investors Danny Masterson and Cedric the Entertainer in the seed round. None of the investors have joined the board, which already includes Jason Calacanis.
OneSpot, an Austin, Texas-based company provider that aggregates advertising content for online publishers, has raised a $5.3 million Series A round led by Mohr Davidow Ventures. Mack Capital, RSL Ventures, Capital Factory and Bazaarvoice co-founder Brett Hurt also participated in the round. OneSpot said it has now raised $6.8 million in total funding. As part of the funding, Bryan Stolle, general partner of Mohr Davidow, has joined the board.
Scanadu, a developer of personalized health electronics, has raised $10.5 million in Series A funding that was led by Relay Ventures. Other investors include Tony Hsieh’s VegasTechFund, Jerry Yang’s Ame Cloud Venture, Broe Group, Mindful Investors and Redmile Group. Scanadu previously raised $1.7 million in a crowdfunding campaign on the Indiegogo platform that was launched in May. The company has now raised $14.7 million in funding to date. Scanadu, which is based at the NASA Ames Research Center in Moffett Field, Calif., makes a medical sensor device inspired by the tricorder on "Star Trek" to diagnose information about a patient, such as cardiovascular health. Scanadu founder and CEO Walter De Brouwer told peHUB that the company expects to begin shipping in March.
