Dempsey, former chief operating officer of Fortress Investment Group's Permanent Capital Business Group, has joined Easterly Capital, a private investment firm founded by former Affiliated Managers Group chief financial officer Darrell Crate. Dempsey will be responsible for capital formation and business development.
