Social music discovery platform Soundrop has closed a $3.4 million funding round (20 million NOK), led by Northzone and Investinor. Northzone invested in Soundrop’s first round and is also the lead investor in Spotify and X5 Music.
Dataguise, an innovator of data security intelligence and protection solutions, has closed a $13 million Series B funding round. The financing was led by Toba Capital with additional capital coming from the investment arm of a multi-billion dollar electronic conglomerate.

Venture firms completed 131 exits totaling $6.7 billion in Q3 2013, according to the latest venture capital data from PitchBook Data. Liquidity activity in terms of capital is significantly lower than the same period a year ago -in Q3 2012, VC firms completed 148 exits for $9 billion, a cash flow drop of 34%.
Clairvest Group has made a $15 million investment in Cieslok Media, formerly Titan Outdoor Canada Company. Cieslok Media is a Canadian outdoor advertising firm, operating predominantly large format digital and static billboards throughout major cities in Canada. Clairvest's portion of the investment is $4 million.
Aventura has completed a $4.3 million investment led by current investors Clarion Direct Investment, Excel Venture Management, HLM Venture Partners and MemorialCare Innovation Fund. The financing builds on Aventura’s previously announced $13 million equity financing in 2011.
