Moog has completed the sale of its Buffalo, New York operations of Ethox Medical to Dempsey Ventures for an undisclosed sum. Dempsey Ventures, based in Grand Rapids, Michigan, is a private equity firm focused on healthcare products. Its portfolio of companies in the anesthesia/respiratory space includes SunMed, Bay Medical and Ventlab.
India-based Robosoft has received funding from Kalaari Capital (formerly IndoUS Venture Partners) to accelerate growth and fund expansion. Robosoft is a multiple awards winning developer of mobile apps and games.
Horizon Technology Finance Corporation has provided a $5 million venture loan facility to NexPlanar Corporation, a developer of chemical mechanical planarization pads used by semiconductor manufacturers. The funds provided under the venture loan facility will be used for working capital purposes.
Healthation has secured a $14 million investment by ABS Capital Partners and Hughes & Company. These investors join SilverStream Capital in the round. Healthation is a provider of core administrative systems for traditional and emerging healthcare payers and administrators. ArchPoint Partners acted as sole financial advisor.
Drug discovery and development company Heptares Therapeutics has raised over $21 million in a Series B financing. The round was co-led by the Stanley Family Foundation and current investor Clarus Ventures with Takeda Ventures also participating.

NumberFour AG, founded in 2009 by Marco Boerries to re-imagine how small businesses are run, has secured $38 million in Series A financing led by Mike Volpi from Index Ventures. The round includes contributions from Allen&Co, T-Venture/Deutsche Telekom, Andreas von Bechtolsheim, Jerry Yang, Klaus Hommels and Lars Hinrichs among others.

SMRTV Inc, the company that produces second screen TV service ConnecTV, has raised a $1.4 million in funding, according to a Security Exchange Commission document, writes VentureBeat. The SEC filing indicates that ConnecTV could raise another $2.6 million before closing its latest funding round. No further details on the investors have been released.
