Media technology company Sticky has closed a $3 million funding round. European tech investors Conor and Northzone paticipated in the financing.
Cloud data management business ParElastic Corporation has raised $5.7 million in a Series A round financing led by General Catalyst Partners. The company's existing investors including Point Judith Capital, CommonAngels and LaunchCapital also participated in the round. The Series A brings ParElastic's total financing to $8.7 million.
Online coding education platform Treehouse Island has closed its Series B Preferred financing round for a total of $7 million. The funding was led by Kaplan Ventures, with The Social+Capital Partnership also participating in the round.
InnoBio, a biotech fund managed by CDC Entreprises, and Sofinnova Partners have announced a joint investment in MedDay for 8 million euros ($10.5 million). Created in 2011 by Dr Frédéric Sedel and Dr Guillaume Brion, MedDay is specialised in the treatment of neuro-metabolic diseases.

Computer game maker Richard Garriott has secured $2 million in crowd funding for Shroud of the Avatar™: Forsaken Virtues. The original pledge goal for Shroud of the Avatar on Kickstarter was $1 million.
EndoEvolution, an innovator in automated suturing devices is closing on a $5,000,000 Series C round of venture financing led by its current investor, Spring Bay Companies. Ron Rudowsky has also been named president and chief executive officer.
Adknowledge has acquired Montipay, doing business as SocialWeekend Labs, which operates a portfolio of Facebook and mobile apps and has built tools to help app developers acquire, engage and retain users. SocialWeekend, which was founded by Shane Walker, Andrew Tso and Fariz Chowdhury, was backed by Great Oaks Venture Capital, Brad Harrison Ventures, and a number of prominent angel investors.
Brightstone Venture Capital has backed MobileRealtyApps.com. Mobile Realty Apps was founded three years ago by repeat entrepreneur Aaron Kardell. The business develops and manages mobile platforms for real estate agencies such as Edina Realty, RE/MAX Results, Reece & Nichols and Counselor Realty, and MLS groups such as NorthstarMLS and NorthwestMLS.
