Horizon Technology Finance Corporation has provided a $5 million venture loan facility to Decisyon, a provider of collaborative enterprise software solutions to Global 1000 companies. The funds provided under the facility will be used to support the company’s expansion.
Bitcoin payment processor BitPay has expanded its seed round of funding by adding more angel investors, including Ben Davenport, Trace Mayer, and A-GRade Investments. BitPay recently announced its seed round of funding from a small group of angel investors including Shakil Khan, Barry Silbert, Jimmy Furland and Roger Ver. In February, BitPay moved its offices to the Atlanta Tech Village in the heart of Buckhead’s Financial District.
EntreMed has received commitments from investors, including institutional investors Kleiner Perkins Caufield Byers China Fund II L.P. and IDG-Accel China Growth Fund III L.P. to purchase approximately $10.7 million of securities in a registered direct offering. EntreMed is a clinical-stage pharmaceutical company employing a drug development strategy primarily in the United States and China to develop targeted therapeutics for the global market.
Life sciences company Swallow Solutions has raised $1.046 million in Series A financing, led by Venture Management with participation from NEW Capital Fund, Wisconsin Investment Partners and individual investors. Swallow Solutions will use the capital to commercialize a portfolio of innovative dysphagia treatment products and to add new products and services.

Ignyta, a personalized medicine company has secured a $1 million capital term loan facility from Silicon Valley Bank. Last year, the company closed a $5.5 million Series B financing led by City Hill Ventures and Colt Ventures and a $500,000 capital term loan from Silicon Valley Bank.
Kala Pharmaceuticals has secured $11.5 million in Series A equity financing through new and existing investors. New and lead investor Crown Venture Fund the venture capital arm of the Crown family of Chicago, joined Kala's existing investors including Lux Capital Management, Polaris Venture Partners and Third Rock Ventures.
Getable has closed a second financing, totaling $1.8 million. This brings total funding for the company to $3.2 million. Investors include Andreessen Horowitz, Founder Collective, Promus Ventures and Chris Sacca of Lowercase Capital.
Tech hiring business Gild has closed a Series A financing totaling $8 million. The funding was led by Steve Anderson of Baseline Ventures, with participation from SAP Ventures, Globespan Capital Partners, and Silicon Valley investor Mark Kvamme, an original investor in LinkedIn.
