Drawbridge, a cross-screen mobile ad targeting business, has closed its $14 million Series B funding. Northgate Capital, a new investor in Drawbridge, leads this round. Existing investors, Kleiner Perkins Caufield and Byers and Sequoia Capital also joined the round.
Taboola, a NY-based content-distribution and monetization platform, has completed a $15 million Series D round of funding. The funding was led by Pitango VC with participation from existing investors Evergreen Venture Partners, WGI Group and Marker. The announcement comes six months after the company had announced a $10 million funding round led by Marker.
Serent Capital has invested in Optimal Blue, a provider of a pricing and secondary marketing automation platform. Optimal Blue was advised by Milestone Advisors LLC headquartered in Washington, DC.
Movirtu, an identity solution provider for mobile operators, has unveiled Movirtu WorkLife, a virtual SIM-based solution that solves the BYOD (Bring Your Own Device) mobile phone number ownership problem. Headquartered in London and established in 2008, Movirtu is a private, venture capital-backed company.
Early stage, Cambridge-based life science company, Sphere Fluidics, has closed a 1.6 million pounds ($2.5 million) funding round. The investment included a 133,000 pounds pledge by a syndicate of London Business Angels and its EIS Approved Roundtable Syndicate Fund 2012.
UK-based Osprey Capital has exited its first investment following the sale of Allium Capital, with a return of 11.9 x capital for investors. The investment in Allium Capital, a specialist advisory firm which creates and distributes retail financial services products, was made four years ago.
trong>BAROnova has closed its Series C financing of $27.3 million, led by investments from Sante Ventures and Boston Scientific Corporation, an innovator of medical devices and technologies. Investors included Series B investors ONSET Ventures, Highland Capital Partners and Arboretum Ventures, along with new investor Lumira Capital. Financial terms were not disclosed.
Bessemer Venture Partners has funded Anunta Technology Management Services, an application delivery as a service company in a Series A round. The financing will help Anunta build its product platform, boost sales and marketing, and sell globally.
UK-based drug discovery company Domainex has announced an investment round to raise 1.5 million pounds ($2.3 million) of capital. This round had a successful first close in December 2012, with investments made by Longbow Capital, Bury Fitzwilliam-Lay and Partners and University College London Business (UCLB).
Infinio (formerly known as SilverLining Systems) has closed a $10 million Series A investment from Highland Capital Partners and Bessemer Venture Partners, bringing total funding to date to $12 million. The firms join earlier investors Lightspeed Venture Partners, Cambridge’s Founder Collective, the NYC Seed Fund, and a group of angel investors. As part of the financing, Highland’s Sean Dalton and Bessemer’s Felda Hardymon have joined the company’s board of directors.
