Mobile software development pioneer, Phonitive, has received a first round angel investment of 400,000 Euros ($531,069) from Toulouse-based seed investors, Capitole Angels and DP Invest. The first round funding will be used for onward development and commercialization activities associated with the Touchalize product.

Frontier Capital has backed ConnectSolutions. Based in San Francisco, California and Columbus, Ohio, ConnectSolutions is a private-cloud service provider of Unified-Communications-as-a-Service solutions for large enterprise and government organizations.
Micro Interventional Devices, an emerging cardiovascular medical device company, has secured $3.5 million of its expected $5 million Series B financing. The initial tranche was led by Originate Ventures with existing investor, Battelle Ventures also participating in the round. In conjunction with the financing Mike Gausling, managing partner of Originate Ventures, will join the MID board of directors.
Dialog Semiconductor, a provider of highly integrated power management, audio and short range wireless technologies, has made a strategic equity investment into Arctic Sand Technologies, an MIT spin-off. The investment was part of a Series A funding round, with Dialog participating alongside other venture capital and strategic investors. The terms of Dialog's investment are not disclosed.
