ShopKeep POS has closed a Series B funding round of $10 million led by Canaan Partners. Tribeca Venture Partners and TTV Capital, who co-led the company’s $2.2 million Series A funding earlier this year, also participated in the round.
Okta has unveiled an enterprise identity network and major service update with expanded capabilities for cloud, mobile and on-premises environments. Okta is backed by Andreessen Horowitz, Greylock Partners, Khosla Ventures and Sequoia Capital.
Specialty pharmacy company Salveo Specialty Pharmacy has completed a second round of equity and debt funding and the subsequent acquisition of Mission Road Pharmacy. Salveo Specialty Pharmacy is backed by Three Arch Partners, NewSpring Capital and Petra Capital Partners. The additional equity financing was led by new investor Sofinnova Ventures. The debt financing included additional subordinated debt provided by Petra, as well as a new senior credit facility provided by Regions Bank.
TourWrist, a Thayer Ventures Portfolio Company, swept the awards at The Travel Innovation Summit @ The PhoCusWright Conference. The company won The DEMO Award for the Most Game-Changing Innovation, the conference award for The Most Innovative Emerging Company, and The General Catalyst Award for Travel Innovation, which includes $250,000 investment.
Nantero has closed a Series D round of financing for over $10 million. The oversubscribed round was led by two new strategic corporate investors and also includes existing investors, including Charles River Ventures, Draper Fisher Jurvetson, Globespan Capital Partners, Stata Venture Partners and Harris & Harris Group.
Plivo has closed a $1.75 million seed round of financing from Andreessen Horowitz, Battery Ventures, Qualcomm Incorporated and SV Angel. Launched in December 2011, Plivo is a voice and messaging applications platform provider.
Digital media company Red Tricycle has raised $1.5 million in Series A funding led by Maveron. Additional investors include 500 Startups, Richmond Park Partners and zulily, as well as angel investors Paul Buchheit, Bob Pittman, Jon Nordmark and Jason Calcanis.

France Telecom-Orange is making a strategic investment in mobile security company Lookout. Orange is investing through the Orange & Publicis strategic venture capital initiative with Iris Capital.
NanoString Technologies, a provider of life science tools for translational research and developer of molecular diagnostic products, has completed a $15.3 million Series E Preferred Stock issuance. New investors in the transaction included Morgan Stanley Expansion Capital and AllianceBernstein Alternative Investment Management Group. All previous venture investors participated including Clarus Ventures, Draper Fisher Jurvetson, OVP Venture Partners, GE healthymagination Fund, BioMed Ventures, and Henri Termeer.
