Insightra Medical has closed a Series C financing round co-led by Baird Capital’s venture capital group and Boston-based Tekla Capital Management. Insightra, headquartered in Irvine, Calif, is a medical device technology company with products serving the hernia repair market.

TextPower, a provider of text messaging for enterprise alerts and security authentication, has closed its Series A financing round that netted the company $525,000. The round was oversubscribed and included investments from Tech Coast Angel's ACE Fund, as well as several prominent Orange County angel investors.
Mobile games marketing platform AppLift has secured an additional investment of $7 million from Prime Ventures. This transaction comes shortly after Prime Ventures’s initial Series A funding round of $13 million and brings the total investment to $20 million.

The round was led by Bregal Sagemount, with participation from existing investors. In conjunction with the funding, Daniel Kim and Blair Greenberg of Bregal Sagemount joined Accela’s board of directors.
Minted, an online marketplace for independent design and art, has raised $41 million in its Series C financing, led by Technology Crossover Ventures. Allen & Company and existing investor Benchmark Capital both participated as investors in the round.
ParStream, a real-time database for big data analytics has closed an $8 million series B funding round led by Khosla Ventures. The funding will accelerate ParStream’s growth in the global big data market.
Enterprise startup usermind has raised $7.6 million in an oversubscribed Series A round of financing led by Andreessen Horowitz, with participation from Charles River Ventures and SV Angel. Co-founded in May 2013 by enterprise technology veterans Michel Feaster (CEO) and Przemek Pardyak (CTO), usermind will use the funding to advance product development and expand the company’s Seattle-based headquarters.
