Habi, a Bogotá, Columbia-based technology-driven real estate company, has raised $5.5 million in funding. The investors were Tiger Global Management, Homebrew, Zigg, Reshape Holdings, FJ Labs and Supernode Ventures.
Memfault, a provider of cloud-based monitoring solutions for hardware devices, has raised $2.5 million in funding. Uncork Capital led the round with participation from S28 Capital and Y Combinator.
Santa Monica, California-based FanAI, a performance sponsorship data platform, has secured $8 million in Series A funding. Marubeni Corporation led the round with participation from Allectus Capital, CRCM Ventures, Courtside Ventures, GC Tracker Fund, M Ventures, Sterling VC and GFR Fund.
Vancouver, British Columbia-based Charli AI, an intelligent automation startup, has secured $1.6 million in seed funding. The investors were Yaletown Partners and BDC Capital.
Roche has agreed to acquire Lexington, Massachusetts-based Promedior, a biotech company. According to terms of the agreement, Roche will make an upfront cash payment of $390 million. Promedior's backers include Morgenthaler Ventures, HealthCare Ventures, Forbion, Easton Capital, Fibrotec Ventures and Polaris Partners.
Refundit, a provider of mobile solutions that allows travelers to reclaim VAT refunds digitally, has secured $9.8 million in funding. Amadeus Ventures led the round.
Ulu Ventures is seeking to raise $100 million for its third fund, according to an SEC filing. Based in Palo Alto, California, the venture firm invests in enterprise cloud and smart data companies.
Merck has acquired Calporta Therapeutics, a portfolio company of COI Pharmaceuticals, which is backed by Avalon Ventures. The purchase price was $576 million. Calporta is developing selective small molecule agonists of TRPML1.
