Silicon Valley-based Aerospike, a provider of next-generation, real-time NoSQL data solutions, has raised $32 million in Series D funding. Triangle Peak Partners LLC led the round.
Wellframe Inc, a provider of digital health management solutions, has raised $20 million in Series C funding. BlueCross BlueShield Venture Partners led the round with participation from other investors that included Threshold Ventures and F-Prime Capital.
Palo Alto, California and Israel-based CyCognito Inc, a cybersecurity startup, has secured $18 million Series A funding. Lightspeed Venture Partners led the round with participation from Sorenson Ventures and a personal investment from John W. Thompson, venture partner at Lightspeed and chairman of Microsoft.
San Francisco-based Abnormal Security, a provider of a cloud email security platform, has raised $24 million in Series A funding. Greylock Partners led the round.
SmartNews, a news app, has secured $92 million in Series E funding. Japan Post Capital Co. Ltd. and ACA Investments Pte Ltd led the round.
Kimai, a fine jewelry brand, has secured $1.2 million in seed funding. Talis Capital led the round.
Kairos Ventures is seeking to raise $250 million for its third fund, according to an SEC filing. Based in Beverly Hills, California, Kairos invests in scientific discoveries.
Ear piercing company Studs has raised $3 million in funding. First Round Capital led the round with participation from Lerer Hippeau.
Prevailion, a cybersecurity company, has raised an undisclosed amount of funding. The investor was Legion Capital Partners.
Factor[e] Ventures has named Jit Bhattacharya as a principal. Bhattacharya is a former CTO of Fenix International. Bhattacharya is based in Factor[e] Ventures' Nairobi office.
