S3 Ventures led the round with participation from Shasta Ventures, Sierra Ventures, Holt Ventures, Wild Basin Investments and Shelter Capital Partners. In conjunction with the funding, Charlie Plauche, a partner at S3 Ventures, will join Interplay Learning's board of directors.

Israel-based Veego, a developer of artificial intelligence technology for eliminating malfunctions in the connected home, has raised $5 million in seed funding. The investors were Robert Bosch Venture Capital GmbH, State of Mind Ventures and North First Ventures.

Israel and New York City-based ThetaRay, a provider of AI-based big data analytics, has named Steve Mann as chief marketing officer. He is the former CMO for Arachnys and Axioma. ThetaRay's backers include Jerusalem Venture Partners, GE, Bank Hapoalim, OurCrowd and SVB Investments.
Singapore and Boston-based Biofourmis, a provider of digital therapeutics, has secured $35 million in Series B financing. Sequoia India, part of Sequoia Capital, led the round.
Connecticut Innovations is investing up to $1 million in Toronto-based Invixium Access, a manufacturer of modern biometric solutions. CI has closed on the initial $665,000 tranche of the investment. The capital infusion will be used for software and data analytics development, sales and marketing, and expansion in the U.S. as well as personnel hiring.
Burlingame, California-based Cala Health, Inc, a bioelectronic medicine company, has raised $50 million in Series C financing. The investors included Novartis, Baird Capital, LifeSci Venture Partners, TriVentures, Johnson & Johnson Innovation – JJDC, Inc, Lux Capital, Lightstone Ventures, Action Potential Venture Capital, dRx Capital and GV.
