Ektron, a web content and digital management solutions provider based in Nashua, New Hampshire, said on Wednesday that it has completed a new round of funding. No financial terms were disclosed. CEI Ventures and members of Ektron's executive management participated in the round. Also, Nathaniel Henshaw, managing director of CEI Ventures, joins Ektron's board of directors.
WorldDesk, a provider of desktop virtualization software, said on Wednesday that it has raised $1.25 million in funding. Belfast-based investment firm Lough Shore Investments and a number of  undisclosed U.S. investors participated in the round. WorldDesk is based both in Belfast, Ireland and Menlo Park, Calif.
Anacor Pharmaceuticals said today that it has received a $45 million loan from Hercules Technology Growth Capital. The capital will be distributed in three tranches. Based in Palo Alto, Calif., Anacor is a biopharmaceutical company.
FireHost, a Dallas-based provider of secure cloud hosting, said on Wednesday that it has raised $12 million in Series D funding. The Stephens Group, LLC led the round. According to the company, the funding will be used to expand FireHost’s solutions in the secure cloud category.
Qwaya, a provider of cloud solutions for Facebook advertising, said on Tuesday that it has raised $3 million in financing. The lead investor was Zobito. Qwaya is based in Stockholm, Sweden.
MaxTradeIn has closed $1.2 million in seed funding. The round was led by Elevate Ventures and private investors. Headquartered in Indianapolis, Indiana, MaxTradeIn is a free website that allows consumers to list their vehicles.
BrightEdge said on Tuesday that it has received $42.8 million in Series D funding. The lead investor was Insight Venture Partners. Existing investors Intel Capital, Battery Ventures, Altos Ventures and Illuminate Ventures also participated in the round. Based in San Mateo, Calif., BrightEdge is a content marketing platform.
Namely said on Tuesday that it has raised $3.35 million in Series A financing. The lead investor was True Ventures. Also participating in the round were Lerer Ventures and Bullpen Capital. Based in New York City, Namely is a platform provider that helps manage people and data.
Banco Santander has invested more than than €5 million in iZettle, it was announced by both companies today. Based in Stockholm, Sweden, iZettle is a provider of social payment solutions.
CustomMade, an online marketplace, said on Tuesday that it has raised $18 million in funding. Lead investors were Atlas Venture and returning investor Google Ventures. Schooner Capital, Next View Ventures, First Round Capital and Launch Capital also participated in the round. Also, Fred Destin, a partner at Atlas Venture, and Rich Miner, a partner at Google Ventures, will join the board.
