Based in Redwood City, Calif., Kenandy is a provider of cloud solutions.
ID90T said on Tuesday that it has received $3 million in Series B financing. The lead investors were Gerbera Capital and Mexico Ventures. Existing investors Baroda Ventures and Thayer Ventures also participated in the round. Headquartered in Dallas, Texas, ID907 is an airline platform provider.
SageCloud said on Tuesday that it has closed $10 million in Series B financing. The lead investor was Braemar Energy Ventures. Existing Investor Matrix Partners also participated in the round. Also, Dr. Jiong Ma, a partner at Braemar, will join SageCloud's board of directors. Based in Boston, Massachusetts, SageCloud is a provider of storage systems for archival and backup data.
Novus said on Monday that it has received an investment from Bain Capital Ventures, the venture arm of Bain Capital and Index Ventures. No financial terms were disclosed. Based in New York, Novus is a portfolio analytics platform for institutional investors.
NJOY, a maker of electronic cigarettes, said on Monday that it has received $75 million in funding. Investors included serial entrepreneur Sean Parker and Douglas Teitelbaum, principal of Homewood Capital. Also, Teitelbaum will join NJOY's board of directors. The funding will be used for marketing, clinical trials, research and development and market expansion.
Affinity Solutions, a New York based-provider of transaction-enabled marketing programs., said on Monday that it has closed $21 million plus in funding. The round was led by Chestnut Hill Ventures, a Wellesley, Mass.-based private equity firm focused on consumer marketing and financial services companies.
Valkee, the Finnish bright light headset maker, said on Friday that it has received 7.4 million euros (approximately $9.7 million) in Series A funding. Investors include both current and new shareholders of Valkee. According to the company, the funding will be used to expand its market base.
Avaxia Biologics, a Lexington, MA-based biopharmaceutical company, said on Friday that the company has completed $11.4 million in Series B financing. Lead investors were Cherrystone Angels and Golden Seeds. Also participating in the round were new investors AbbVie Inc., Ariel Southeast Angel Partners and Tech Coast Angels as well as existing investors Beacon Angels, Boston Harbor Angels, Launchpad Venture Group, Mass Medical Angels, North Country Angels, the Beta Fund, Granite State Angels, the Keiretsu Forum and Maine Angels.
Scratch Music Group, a New York-based music and technology company, said on Friday that it received additional growth financing. No financial terms were disclosed. The lead investor was New Enterprise Associates. Existing investor Contour Venture Partners also participated in the round.
SocialBro, the London-based provider of cloud solutions for Twitter business users, has received £1.2M in venture capital funding. The lead investor was Scottish Equity Partners.
