Meritech Capital Partners led the round with participation from its existing investors Matrix Partners, Khosla Ventures, Opus Capital and Chevron Technology Ventures, the investment division of Chevron. Also, Meritech Capital Partners Managing Director Paul Madera has joined Panzura's board of directors. Based in Campbell, Calif., Panzura is a provider of cloud storage solutions.
3Pillar Global said on Thursday that it has raised $12 million in a Series A preferred stock round with existing shareholders. NewSpring Capital led the round. Based in Fairfax, Virginia, 3Pillar Global is a provider of software solutions.
Mirantis said on Thursday that it has completed $10 million in a second round of Series A financing. Ericsson, Red Hat, SAP Ventures and existing investor WestSummit Capital participated in this round. Based in Mountain View, Calif., Mirantis is a provider of software solutions.
Whistle said on Wednesday that it has received a $6 million in Series A funding. Investors include DCM Ventures, various venture capital firms and executives working in the pet, retail, and technology sectors. Also, DCM General Partner Jason Krikorian, co-founder of Sling Media, has joined Whistle’s board of directors. Based in San Francisco, Whistle is a producer of products that monitor the health of dogs.
London-based mobile tech company YPlan said on Wednesday that it has received a $12 million (£7.9m) in Series A financing. Leading the round were General Catalyst Partners and existing investors Wellington Partners and Octopus Investments. Other investors that participated were A-Grade, SLOW Ventures Fund, and Shakil Khan, investor and advisor to Spotify and Summly.
New York-based SaaS Capital, which offers alternative growth financing for SaaS businesses, said on Wednesday that it has provided debt financing to Monet Software. No financial terms were disclosed. Based in Los Angeles, Monet Software is a global provider of workforce solutions for call centers.
Flocktory, a Russia-based social referral marketing service for online retailers, said on Wednesday that it has completed $1.5 million in Series A financing. The investor was Digital Venture Partners. The new funding will be used for continued product development.
YouAPPi said on Wednesday that it has raised $1 million in funding from Glilot Capital Partners, an Israeli-based early stage venture capital firm. The funding will be used to build up youAPPi's application algorithms and expand its sales and marketing. Based in Raanana, Israel, YouAPPi is a provider of mobile application solutions.
BitSight Technologies, a Cambridge, MA-based provider of data analytics for risk management, said on Wednesday that it has received $24 million in Series A financing. Investors that participated in the round were Globespan Capital Partners, Menlo Ventures. Flybridge Capital Partners and Commonweath Capital Ventures. Also, Globespan Capital Partners' Dave Fachetti and Menlo Ventures' Venky Ganesan will join BitSight's board of directors.
Affirmed Networks said on Wednesday that it has received $51 million in Series C funding. The lead investor was Bessemer Venture Partners. KCK Group also participated in the round. Also, Bob Goodman, partner at Bessemer Venture Partners, will join the Affirmed Networks' board of directors. Based in Acton, Mass., Affirmed Networks is a provider of mobile network solutions.
