NSLComm, an Israeli developer of satellite technology that enables high-speed data transfer for government, commercial and private application, has raised $6.25 million in Series B funding, according to a company announcement. The investors were Jerusalem Venture Partners, Liberty Global, OurCrowd, Hawk GF and Cockpit Innovation of the El Al Group.
Silicon Valley-based Airspace Systems Inc, a maker of drone defense systems, has raised $20 million in Series A funding. Singtel Innov8 led the round with participation from s28 Capital, Shasta Ventures and Granite Hill Capital Partners. In addition to the funding, Jeff Karras, a managing director of investments at Singtel Innov8, will join Airspace’s board of directors.
Millbrae, California-based Imply, a data analytics company, has secured $13.3 million in Series A funding. Andreessen Horowitz led the round with participation from other investors that included Khosla Ventures. In addition to the funding, Martin Casado, a general partner at Andreessen Horowitz, will join Imply's board of directors.
Frisco, Texas-based Scoreboard Ventures, a new firm focused on early-stage companies in sports, digital media and esports, has launched. The firm was founded by entrepreneurs Brian Dick and Nahid Giga.
Sagoon, a social commerce platform, has agreed to raise $5 million in funding. The investor was HT Singapore, a subsidiary of HT Media.
New York City-based UiPath, a platform for enterprise robotic process automation, has appointed Craig Bumpus as chief revenue officer and Vargha Moayed as chief strategy officer. Previously, Bumpus worked at Nutanix where he served as senior vice president of sales while Moayed was at EY where he was a partner leading advisory services in Romania. UiPath is backed by Accel, CapitalG, Kleiner, Perkins, Caufield & Byers, Credo Ventures, Earlybird’s Digital East Fund and Seedcamp.
San Francisco-based Moogsoft, a provider of artificial intelligence for IT operations, has secured $40 million in Series D funding. Goldman Sachs Growth Equity led the round with participation from other backers that included HCL, Northgate Capital, Redpoint Ventures, Singtel Innov8, STTelemedia and Wing VC.
Yogome, a provider of digital learning and children's education, has raised $26.9 million in Series B funding. Exceed Capital Partners led the round with participation from Seaya Ventures, Insight Venture Partners and Variv Capital.
Pittsburgh-based Voci Technologies, a provider of enterprise speech-to-text transcription and analytics, has secured $8 million in Series B funding. Grotech Ventures and Harbert Growth Partners led the round.
Math Venture Partners is seeking to raise $39 million for its second fund, according to an SEC filing. The Chicago-based firm focuses on companies that specialize in customer acquisition.
