UK-based TickX, a search engine and discovery platform for events and attractions tickets, has secured 3 million pounds in Series A funding. BGF Ventures led the round with participation from Ministry of Sound and 24Haymarket.
TigerWit, a fintech firm, has secured $5 million in funding. The backer was Susquehanna International Group.
Perfect Day, a producer of animal-free dairy proteins, has raised $24.7 million in Series A funding. Temasek led the round with participation from other investors that included Horizons Ventures, Continental Grain, Iconiq Capital and Lion Ventures.
San Francisco-based Woebot Labs Inc, a mental health chatbot creator, has secured $8 million in Series A funding. The investors were New Enterprise Associates and Andrew Ng’s newly launched AI Fund.
Cambridge, Massachusetts-based Rubius Therapeutics, a creator of cellular therapies, has closed $100 million in funding. The investors in this round were not named.
Helix, a provider of DNA-powered products, has raised $200 million in Series B financing. DFJ Growth led the round with participation from other investors that included Illumina, Kleiner Perkins Caufield & Byers, Mayo Clinic, Sutter Hill Ventures and Warburg Pincus. In conjunction with the funding, Barry Schuler, a partner at DFJ Growth and former chairman and CEO of America Online, will join the Helix board of directors.
DoorDash, an on-demand restaurant delivery service, has raised $535 million in Series D funding. SoftBank led the round with participation from return backers Sequoia Capital, GIC and Wellcome Trust. In addition to the funding, SoftBank's Jeffrey Housenbold and GIC's Jeremy Kranz will join DoorDash's board of directors.
San Francisco-based Bugcrowd, a crowdsourced security platform, has secured $26 million in Series C funding. Triangle Peak Partners led the round. In addition to the funding, Dain DeGroff, co-founding partner and president of Triangle Peak Partners, will join Bugcrowd’s board.
Trizic, a provider of digital workflow and automation technology for the wealth industry, has secured $10 million in Series A funding. Sorenson Ventures led the round with participation from other investors that included FIS, Freestyle Capital, Broadhaven Capital Partners, PEAK6 and Commerce Ventures.
San Francisco-based Sway Ventures, a venture firm that invests in early-to mid-stage tech companies, has named Doug Hodge as a venture partner. Hodge is a former CEO of PIMCO.
