London-based Everledger, a digital ledger, has raised $10.4 million in Series A funding. GMP Securities and Fidelity Investments led the round with participation from Vickers Ventures Partners, Graphene Venture Capital, FPV, Fenbushi, Bloomberg Beta and Rakuten. In addition to the funding, Everledger has added Dr. Finian Tan, the chairman of Vickers Venture Partners, to its board.
Elephant has raised $250 million for its second fund, according to an SEC filing. The Boston-based venture firm is focused on consumer internet, mobile and software.
Baltimore-based Dracen Pharmaceuticals Inc, a developer of anticancer therapies, has raised $40 million in Series A funding. The investors included Deerfield Management.
London-based Insly, a cloud-based insurance platform, has secured 2.2 million euros in funding, according to a blog post on its site. Concentric and Black Pearls VC led the round.
Shiftboard Inc, a SaaS provider of on-demand, workforce management solutions, has raised $4 million in funding. Voyager Capital led the round with participation from Arnold Venture Group.
Fly Blade Inc, a helicopter company, has raised about $38 million in Series B Financing. Colony NorthStar and Lerer Hippeau led the round with participation from Airbus Helicopters and LionTree Ventures.
Glendale, California-based ServiceTitan, a provider of workflow and field service management software for home-service businesses, has raised $62 million in Series C funding. Battery Ventures led the round with participation from return backers Bessemer Venture Partners and ICONIQ Capital. In conjunction with the transaction, Battery General Partner Michael Brown will join ServiceTitan's board.
St. Louis, Missouri-based SteadyMD, a provider of online concierge primary care, has secured $2.5 million in funding. Pelion Venture Partners led the round with participation from other investors that included CrossCut Ventures, M25 Group, Service Provider Capital and Hyde Park Venture Partners.
Boulder, Colorado-based ArcherDX, a provider of NGS-based gene fusion detection assays, has secured $35 million in financing. Boulder Ventures Ltd and PBM Capital Group LLC led the round with participation from Longwood Fund and Peierls Foundation. In addition to the funding, Kyle Lefkoff of Boulder Ventures has joined ArcherDX's board of directors.
Hitachi Ltd, a Japanese conglomerate, has agreed to invest in a fund managed by Foster City, California-based venture firm Geodesic Capital. Geodesic Capital Fund I-S is a supplemental fund of the company’s first fund that was established in 2015. According to a recent SEC filing, the fund is targeted at $165 million. Geodesic invests in emerging growth companies in Silicon Valley.
