Dianrong, a Chinese online marketplace lender, has raised $70 million in Series D funding. ORIX Asia Capital Limited led the round with participation from other investors that included CLSA.
Construction tech company Katerra has secured $865 million in Series D funding. SoftBank Vision Fund led the round with participation from others that included Canada Pension Plan Investment Board, a fund managed by Soros Fund Management LLC, Tavistock Group, Navitas Capital and DivcoWest. In conjunction with the funding, Jeffrey Housenbold of SoftBank Investment Advisers will join Katerra’s board of directors.
Raleigh, North Carolina-based PrecisionHawk, a provider of drone technology for businesses, has secured $75 million in funding. Third Point Ventures led the round with participation from other investors that included Comcast Ventures, Senator Ventures Limited, Constellation Technology Ventures, Syngenta Ventures, Intel Capital, Millennium Technology Value Partners, DuPont Ventures and Verizon Ventures. In addition to the funding, James Goldinger, managing director at ClearSky, has joined the PrecisionHawk board of directors.
Belgium and Connecticut-based LindaCare, a digital health company specializing in remote patient monitoring solutions for chronic disease management, has raised 7 million euros in Series B funding. The investors included Philips, PMV, Capricorn ICT Arkiv and Connecticut Innovations.
Clobotics, a computer vision technology startup, has secured $5 million in financing. KTB Network led the round with participation from GGV Capital and Capital Development Investment Fund in China.
Waltham, Massachusetts-based Skyhawk Therapeutics Inc, a developer of small molecule therapeutics that correct RNA expression, has secured $8 million in seed funding. The investors included Alexandria Venture Investments.
Cambridge, Massachusetts-based Ultivue, a developer of reagent-driven solutions for high-performance biological imaging in situ, has raised $20 million in Series B funding round. ARCH Venture Partners led the round.
Capital A Partners is seeking $60 million for its latest fund. The pool will focus on Nordic B2B tech startups.
Almanac has raised $30 million for its venture fund. Almanac is focused on investing in the food and hospitality sector. So far, Almanac has invested in Nona Lim, a line of Asian-inspired heat-and-sip soup cups, bone broths and noodles; Pilotworks, an operator of culinary incubators in the U.S.; and BlueCart, a wholesale order management platform for buyers and sellers in the hospitality industry.
Emeryville, California-based Eureka Therapeutics Inc, a clinical stage biotechnology focused on treating solid tumors, has closed $60 million in Series D financing. Acorn Pacific Ventures led the round with participation from other investors that included GP Capital.
