Berkeley, California-based Carmot Therapeutics Inc, a biotech company, has secured $15 million in financing. Horizons Ventures and The Column Group led the round. In addition to the funding, Patrick Zhang of Horizons Ventures has become a board observer while Dr. Adriana Tajonar from The Column Group was added to the board of directors.
Audience data company Eyeota has raised $12.5 million in Series B funding. Jolt Capital SAS led the round with participation from other investors that included Project A Ventures and Qualgro.
Apartment List, a rental marketplace, has secured $50 million in Series C funding. John Burbank, founder of Passport Capital, led the round with participation from Allen & Company LLC, Canaan Partners, Industry Ventures, Matrix Partners, Quantum Partners LP, a private investment fund managed by Soros Fund Management LLC, Tenaya Capital and WTI.
Orlando-based Finexio, a smart b2b payment network that eliminates paper-based checks for accounts payable departments, has secured $4 million in Series A financing. James R. Heistand led the round with participation from other investors that included Florida Funders, Loeb.nyc, Zach Coelius and Mobile Financial Partners. In conjunction with the funding, Henry Dreifus will join Finexio's board of directors while Steve MacDonald, a partner at Florida Funders will become a board observer.
Silicon Valley-based Shoof Technologies Incorporated, a provider of advanced wireless technology for the industrial IoT, has raised $4.3 million in seed funding. Kleiner Perkins Caufield & Byers and Modiva Japan led the round.
Hellas Direct, a next-generation insurance company, has raised 7 million euros in Series B funding. IFC, a member of the World Bank Group, led the round with participation from other investors that included Third Point LLC, Endeavor Catalyst and Portag3 Ventures.
Oakland, California-based Roofstock, an online marketplace for buying, owning and selling single-family rental homes, has increased its Series C funding round to $42 million. The investors included SVB Capital and Asia Pacific Land Ltd.
Cambridge, Massachusetts-based Pandion Therapeutics, a biotech company, has closed $58 million in Series A financing. Polaris Partners, Versant Ventures and Roche Venture Fund led the round with participation from SR One and BioInnovation Capital.
Ring Capital, a Paris-based venture firm, has raised over 140 million euros. The fund's backers include Tikehau Capital, AG2R La Mondiale, BPI France, Bred and Danone. The fund will focus on European growth-stage tech companies. Also, Tikehau has acquired a 25 percent stake in Ring Capital.
InvestX Master GP1 has launched a growth equity fund that will accept both traditional and digital currency. The minimum fundraising target is $20 million with a hard cap at $100 million. InvestX Global Growth Equity Fund will be available to accredited investors in Canada, the United States and internationally. Vancouver-based InvestX provides accredited investors, family offices, and institutional investors with access to investments in late-stage private companies.
