Israel-based Aurora Labs, a provider of proactive software maintenance for connected vehicles, has raised $2.7 million in seed funding. Aurora Labs' investors are Maniv Mobility, MizMaa Ventures, Expansion Venture Capital and Trucks Venture Capital.
Boston-based Pwnie Express, a provider of internet of things security solutions, has raised $8 million in funding. The investors were 406 Ventures, Ascent Venture Partners, Fairhaven Capital and the Vermont Center for Emerging Technologies.
Bullhorn, which is backed by Insight Venture Partners, has acquired Atlanta-based Peoplenet, a provider of cloud-based workforce management solutions. No financial terms were disclosed.
Oakland, California and India-based Globetouch, a provider of global connectivity services for the connected car and the internet of things, has named Alfredo de Cárdenas as chief operating officer. His work background includes serving as chief operating officer at Syniverse Technologies. Globetouch's backers include Hermes Growth Partners, Impact Venture Capital, Spark Telecom Ventures and Wholesale, Verizon Ventures, CK Hutchison Holdings Limited, Digicel and NTT DoCoMo, 263 China and Qihoo 360 Technology Co. Ltd.
Minneapolis-based Revel, a health engagement company, has raised over $17 million in funding. The investor was TT Capital Partners.
UK-based Artesian Solutions, an artificial intelligence-driven service for businesses, has raised $5 million in funding. The investor was Columbia Lake Partners.
London-based APEXX, a marketplace for global payments, has raised $4 million in funding. Forward Partners led the round with participation from MMC Ventures and Alliance Venture. 
Terbium Labs, a dark web intelligence company, has raised $6 million in financing. Glasswing Ventures led the round.
Finch Capital has led Series A funding rounds for Ayopop, a mobile bill payment platform in Indonesia and Ikbenfrits, a digital mortgage broker based in the Netherlands. No financial terms were disclosed for the former investment but the latter company raised 2 million euros. In conjunction with these transactions, Finch Capital will join both companies' boards.
New York City-based Thrive Global, a behavior change media and technology company founded by Arianna Huffington, has raised $30 million in Series B funding. IVP led the round with participation from other investors that included Marc Benioff, chairman and CEO of Salesforce, Lerer Hippeau Ventures, Greycroft Partners, Blue Pool Capital, Advancit Capital, Canvas Ventures and Female Founders Fund.
