Hawaii-based Kona Deep Corporation, a bottled water company, has secured $5.5 million in financing. The investors include Danone Manifesto Ventures, the venture arm of Danone, and Grand Crossing Capital.
London-based Peanut, an app for mothers, has secured an undisclosed amount of seed funding. Sweet Capital Investment and the Female Founders Fund led the round with participation from other investors that included Greycroft, Sound Ventures, New Enterprise Associates, Felix and Partech.
San Francisco and British Columbia-based Sendwithus, a communications management platform that helps company streamline their emails, has raised $5 million in Series A funding. BlueRun Ventures led the round with participation from other investors that included Initialized Capital, Acequía Capital, Baseline Ventures, SV Angel, Maiden Lane, Y Combinator and Scott Banister. In conjunction with the funding, Cheryl Cheng, a general partner at BlueRun Ventures, has been added to the Sendwithus board.
HopSkipDrive, a ride service for children, has secured $7.4 million in funding, according to a blog post on its site. The investors included FirstMark Capital, Upfront Ventures, Skyview Capital and Halogen Ventures.
M2P Consulting, an international strategy and transformation consultancy, has named Dr. Christoph Lymbersky as a partner. In his role, Lymbersky will be responsible for the firm's venture and capital partners business unit. Previously, Lymbersky was managing director of the venture fund T-Venture.
Palo Alto, California-based Buildup, a mobile collaboration and task management platform for construction jobsites, has secured $7 million in Series A funding. The investors included TLV Partners, UpWest Labs, 01 Ventures and Abstract Ventures. In conjunction with the funding, Eitan Bek, a managing partner at TLV Partners, will join the Buildup board of directors.
Munich-based Target Partners, a venture firm, has named Johannes Landgraf as an analyst. In his role, Landgraf will focus on research covering various industries and new technologies. He will also be involved in due diligence for evaluating startups.
Digital health company Oviva has secured $12 million in Series A funding. The investors were Albion Capital, Eight Roads Ventures, F-Prime Capital Partners, Partech Ventures and Walking Ventures.
Locus Robotics, a provider of autonomous, mobile robots for use in ecommerce fulfillment warehouses, has secured $25 million in Series B funding. Scale Venture Partners led the round. Choate Hall & Stewart LLP was legal counsel to Locus Robotics on the transaction.
Seattle-based Pixvana, a virtual reality technology startup, has raised $14 million in Series A funding. Vulcan Capital led the round with participation from Raine Ventures, Microsoft Ventures, Cisco Investments, Hearst Ventures and Madrona Venture Group.
