Berlin-based Wunderflats, an online platform for furnished apartments, has secured 3 million euros in funding. The investors included Creathor Venture, the IBB Beteiligungsgesellschaft’s VC Fonds Kreativwirtschaft, ECONA AG and unnamed family offices.
OROS, a maker of high-tech outerwear, has secured $2 million in seed funding. The investors were NCT Ventures and Fengshion Capital.
San Francisco-based Gainfully Inc, a compliant, software-as-a-service network that connects insurance and financial services companies, has secured $2.5 million in funding. MassMutual Ventures led the round.
Waltham, Massachusetts-based Arsanis Inc, a developer of targeted monoclonal antibodies for treating serious infectious diseases, has raised $40 million for its IPO after pricing its IPO of four million shares at $10 per share. The stock began trading November 16, 2017 on the NASDAQ under the ticker symbol "ASNS." Citigroup, Cowen and Company and Piper Jaffray & Co are the lead underwriters. And, in a separate transaction, New Enterprise Associates has agreed to provide $20 million to Arsanis in a private placement. Arsanis' pre-IPO backers include the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, GV, Alexandria Venture Investments, OrbiMed, Polaris Venture Partners, SV Health Investors, NeoMed, EMBL Ventures and the Anna Maria and Stephen Kellen Foundation.
Tel Aviv and Boston-based Logz.io, a provider of AI-powered log analysis, has raised $23 million in Series C funding. OpenView led the round with participation from 83North, Giza and Vintage Investment Partners.
Galway, Ireland-based Tr3Dent, a provider of business ecosystem modeling software, has raised $350,000 in funding. The investors were Intermedia, xiVENTURES Fund Inc and Enterprise Ireland.
Berlin-based Lofelt, a maker of haptic solutions in consumer electronics, has raised $5.4 million in Series A funding. Wolfman One led the round with participation from Horizons Ventures, Q Venture Partners and Coparion.
Aster has raised 240 million euros in the first close of its venture fund. The pool will focus on investments in Europe and the U.S.
Cambridge, Massachusetts-based X4 Pharmaceuticals, a developer of novel CXCR4 inhibitor drugs to improve immune cell trafficking to treat cancer and rare diseases, has closed $27 million in Series B financing. The investors were not named.
Abu Dhabi-based Pure Harvest Smart Farms, an arid climate agribusiness, has raised $4.5 million in funding. Shorooq Investments was the lead investor.
