Partners for Growth has closed its fifth fund at $276 million. PFG focuses on financing growth businesses in the tech and life sciences sectors.
CallRail, a call analytics platform, has closed $75 million in funding. The investors were Sageview Capital and Leaders Fund. In addition to the funding, Dean Nelson, a partner at Sageview and Steve DeBacco from Leaders Fund have joined CallRail's board of directors.
Integra Holdings, an investment company exclusively focused on life science innovations originating from the Hebrew University, has raised $25 million in funding. Temasek led the round with participation from Arie Capital and The Israeli Teachers' and Kindergarten's Study Funds.
New York City and Israel-based T-Rex, a provider of data, risk and valuation analysis and structuring tools for esoteric asset classes, has appointed Scott G. Miller as chief business development officer. Previously, Miller worked at FactSet Research Systems where he was executive vice president and global director. T-Rex is backed by Safeguard Scientifics, innogy SE, Ecosystem Integrity Fund and the Partnership Fund for New York City.
Sapphire Ventures has hired Stefanie Gordish as vice president of marketing. Previously, Gordish worked at Marketo where she led communications.
McKesson Ventures has named Carrie Hurwitz Williams as a principal and Irem Mertol as director. Previously, Williams worked at Omada Health where he served as vice president of strategy and business development while Mertol worked at Burd Health.
Summit, New Jersey-based Engage Therapeutics Inc, a developer of treatments for people who experience uncontrolled epileptic seizures, has secured $23 million in Series A financing. TPG Biotech led the round with participation from Adage Capital Management and Lumira Capital. LifeSci Capital was the lead placement agent.
Menlo Park, California-based Legion Technologies Inc, an intelligent workforce engagement platform, has raised $10.5 million in Series A financing. Norwest Venture Partners led the round with participation from other investors that included First Round Capital, XYZ Ventures and Webb Investment Network. In conjunction with the funding, Sean Jacobsohn, a partner at Norwest, has joined the Legion Technologies' board of directors.
Playbuzz, a storytelling platform for interactive content, has raised $35 million in Series C funding.Viola Growth led the round with participation from other investors that included Disney, Saban Ventures, 83North and Carmel Ventures.
Palo Alto, California-based Cardinal Analytx Solutions, a predictive healthcare analytics company, has raised $6.1 million in Series A funding. Cardinal Partners led the round with participation from other investors that included Premera Blue Cross and the Stanford-StartX Fund.
