Paris-based Eligo Bioscience, a microbiome company developing drugs to prevent and treat bacteria-associated diseases, has secured $20 million in Series A financing. The investors included Khosla Ventures and Seventure Partners.
Israel and Waltham, Massachusetts-based Eloxx Pharmaceuticals Ltd, a developer of treatments that focus on genetic diseases caused by nonsense mutations, has appointed Gregory Weaver as chief financial officer. He is the former CFO at Prometic Life Sciences. The investors included Korea Investment Partners, DSC Investments, Pontifax Venture Capital and Quark Venture.
Ireland and New York City-based Teckro, a life sciences tech company, has hired Dana Poff as chief operating officer. Previously, she worked at ICON where she held senior roles in clinical operations, project management and alliance management. Teckro's backers include Sands Capital Ventures, Section 32 and Founders Fund.
JingChi Inc, a Chinese self-driving startup, has secured $52 million in funding. The investors included Qiming Venture and NVIDIA GPU Ventures. In addition to the funding, Duane Kuang, a founding partner at Qiming, will join JingChi’s board of directors.
New York City-based Boost Insurance, an insurance platform, has raised $3 million in funding. Norwest Venture Partners led the round with participation from IA Capital Group, Greycroft Partners, State National Companies and Nephila.
San Francisco-based ProsperWorks, a provider of CRM solutions for G Suite, has secured $53 million in Series C funding. Promod Haque at Norwest Venture Partners led the round with participation from GV, Industry Ventures, Next World Capital, Storm Ventures and True Ventures.
New York-based The Inside, a newly launched home decor brand, has raised $1.5 million in seed funding. The investor was Forerunner Ventures.
Jopwell, a diversity recruiting startup, has raised $7.5 million in Series A funding, according to a spokesperson for the firm. Cue Ball Capital led the round with participation from other investors that included Kapor Capital, Y Combinator, Omidyar Network, Valar Ventures, SJF Ventures, Blue Ivy Ventures and Teneo Ventures.
Branford, Connecticut-based IsoPlexis Corp, a life science company, has raised $13.5 million in Series B financing. Spring Mountain Capital led the round with participation from Connecticut Innovations, North Sound Ventures and Ironwood Capital.
San Francisco-based Accelo, a provider of service operations automation solutions, has raised $9 million in Series A funding, according to a blog post. Level Equity led the round with participation from Fathom Capital and return backer Blackbird Ventures.
