San Francisco-based Eaze, a cannabis delivery company, has raised $27 million in funding. Bailey Capital led the round with participation from DCM Ventures, Kaya Ventures and FJ Labs. In addition to the funding, James Bailey has joined Eaze's board of directors.
New York City-based Skywire Networks, a wireless broadband provider, has raised $23 million in financing. The investor was Metropolitan Partners Group.
Swedish social robotics startup Furhat Robotics has secured $2.5 million in seed funding. The investors were Balderton Capital and LocalGlobe. In addition to the funding, Daniel Waterhouse, a partner at Balderton, has joined Furhat Robotics' board.
San Francisco-based Piper, a STEM education company, has raised $7.6 million in Series A funding. Owl Ventures led the round with participation from other investors that included Reach Capital, Stanford’s StartX fund and Charles Huang, co-founder of Guitar Hero.
Santa Monica, California-based Sixgill LLC, a provider of sensor data services for governing IoE, has raised $27.9 million in funding. DRW Venture Capital led the round with participation from Mobile Financial Partners.
San Francisco-based HouseCanary, a data analytics and valuation platform for real estate professionals, has secured $31 million in Series B funding. The investors in this round included PSP Growth and Alpha Edison.
New York City-based KeyMe, a provider of solutions for people to access and manage their keys, has raised $25 million in Series D financing. Comcast Ventures was the lead investor. Also, Battery Ventures, Benefit Street Partners, Michael Polsky, Questmark Partners, Ravin Gandhi, RiverPark Ventures, 7-Eleven and White Star Capital participated in the round.
Fauna Inc, the parent company of FaunaDB, an adaptive operational database, has secured $25 million in Series A funding. Daniel Gwak of Point72 Ventures led the round with participation from other investors that included GV, Costanoa Ventures, Afore Capital, CRV, Data Collective, Quest Venture Partners, the Webb Investment Network and Ulu Ventures.
ExecThread Inc, a job-sharing network for executives and an aggregator of unpublished executive-level job opportunities, has raised $6.5 million in financing. Canaan Partners and Javelin Venture Partners led the round with participation from other investors that included Corazon Capital, CoVenture and NextView Ventures. In conjunction with the funding, Jed Katz, managing director at Javelin and Warren Lee, general partner at Canaan, have joined ExecThread's board of directors.
RealtyShares, an online marketplace for real estate investing, has secured $28 million in Series C financing. The investors were Cross Creek Advisors, Danhua Capital, Barry Sternlicht, Bow Capital, Union Square Ventures, General Catalyst Partners and Menlo Ventures.
