Metawave Corp has secured $7 million in funding. The investors included Khosla Ventures, Motus Ventures and Thyra Global Management. Palo Alto, California-based Metawave, which spun out of PARC earlier this year, is a wireless tech company.
Arlington, Virginia-based DivvyCloud, a developer of technology that automates and manages cloud infrastructure, has secured $6 million in funding. RTP Ventures led the round.
UK-based FiveAl, a builder of technology for urban driverless vehicles, has secured 14 million pounds in Series A funding. Lakestar Capital led the round with participation from previous backers Amadeus Capital Partners, Notion Capital and Kindred.
Labster ApS, a Danish provider of virtual lab simulations, has secured $10 million in Series A funding. The investors were Balderton Capital, Northzone and Unity Technologies founder David Helgason.
San Francisco-based Orion Labs, a voice communication platform for teams in business, enterprise, and government organizations, has closed $18.25 million in financing. Allen & Company LLC led the round with participation from other investors that included Argentum, The Thermo Companies, Avalon Ventures, Motorola Solutions and Fuel Capital. In conjunction with the financing, Richard Fields of Allen & Company LLC has joined Orion Labs’ board of directors while Walter Barandiaran, co-founder and managing partner of Argentum, has become an observer.
Capital One Growth Ventures, the venture arm of Capital One Financial, has joined Snowflake Computing's Series D funding round, raising its total to $105 million. San Mateo, California-based Snowflake Computing is a data warehouse company built for the cloud.
Santa Clara, California and Israel-based Elastifile, an enterprise hybrid cloud data management company, has raised $16 million in funding. Western Digital Capital led the round with participation from other investors that included CE Ventures, Lightspeed Venture Partners, Battery Ventures, Dell Technologies Capital and Cisco Investments.
New York City-based Dataiku Inc, a provider of analytics and collaborative data science tools, has secured $28 million in Series B funding. Battery Ventures led the round with participation from FirstMark, Serena Capital and Alven.
Livermore, California-based Vericool, a provider of sustainable packaging, has raised $5 million in funding. BillerudKorsnäs Venture AB led the round.
Calgary-based Absorb Software, a provider of cloud-based learning and performance management software for corporations and higher education institutions, has raised $59 million in funding. Silversmith Capital Partners led the round. Vista Point Advisors served as financial adviser to Absorb Software on the transaction.
