Oracle said Monday that it has agreed to buy BlueKai. No financial terms were disclosed. BlueKai is a big data platform for marketing campaigns. Its backers include Redpoint Ventures, Battery Ventures, GGV Capital and e.ventures.
SpareFoot has closed $10 million in funding from Insight Venture Partners. Based in Austin, SpareFoot is an online marketplace for self-storage. Its other backers include Capital Factory, FLOODGATE and Silverton Partners.
Boost Communications said Monday that it has closed an additional 1 million pounds in funding. The backers included Investinor and NIK. Based in Norway, Boost Communications is a provider of mobile advertising solutions to media brands.
TraceLink said Monday that it has raised an additional $5.5 million in funding. FirstMark Capital led the round. Based in Wakefield, Mass., TraceLink is a provider of cloud computing and supply network process solutions.
Ezetap has closed $8 million in Series B funding. Helion Advisors led the round with participation from Social+Capital Partnership and Berggruen Holdings. Also, Ashish Gupta of Helion Advisors will join Ezetap's board while Rahul Chandra, also of Helion Advisors, has been named an advisor to the company. Based in Bangalore, India, Ezetap is a mobile payments service provider for emerging markets.
Norway-based mCASH has raised $7 million in funding from Northzone and Entrée Capital. In conjunction with the funding, Entrée Capital's Ashley Head will join mCASH's board of directors. MCASH is a provider of new mobile payment solutions.
Hubub has secured $8.5 million in Series A funding. The investors included Edgar Bronfman, Jr., Todd Ruppert, former CEO of T. Rowe Price Global Investment Services and Tom Kalaris, former CEO of Barclays Wealth & Investment Management. Based in New York, Hubub is a new online community for users with shared interests.
SoundFocus has closed $1.7 million in seed funding. The investors included Kapor Capital, Y Combinator, VegasTechFund, OVO Fund and RTA Capital. Based in San Francisco, SoundFocus is a hearing technology startup.
Granular (formerly known as Solum) has raised $4.2 million in financing. The investors were Andreessen Horowitz, Google Ventures and Khosla Ventures. Also, Monsanto Company has bought Granular's soil science business. No financial terms were disclosed. Headquartered in San Francisco, Granular is a provider of cloud software and analytics for farmers.
ClubLocal said Friday that it has closed $10.7 million in funding. The investors include Groupon, various unnamed individual investors and two of the original founders of ReachLocal. ClubLocal is an app that enables users to book and buy household services.
