Inpria Corp. said Thursday that it has received $4.7 million of a committed $7.3 million financing. Samsung Venture Investment Corp led the round with participation from Intel Capital and Applied Ventures. Based in Oregon, Inpria is a provider of high-resolution photoresists.
NewSchools has closed $12 million for its seed fund. The fund will invest in edtech ventures. Headquartered in Oakland, Calif. and with offices in Boston and Washington, D.C., NewSchools is a nonprofit venture philanthropy firm focused on public education for underserved students.
Mindbody said Thursday that it has closed $50 million in financing. The investors included Bessemer Venture Partners, Institutional Venture Partners, Catalyst Investors, W Capital Partners and Montreux Equity Partners. Headquartered in San Luis Obispo, Calif., Mindbody is a provider of business management solutions for beauty, health and wellness.
Health and lifestyle media brand HealthNation has named Patrick Vogt as CEO and director. Previously, Vogt worked at The Weather Channel’s international division where he served as president. HealthNation is backed by Intel Capital and MK Capital.
Nativeflow said Wednesday that it has raised $7.5 million in funding. The investors were Jerusalem Venture Partners and OurCrowd. Based in Israel and New York City, Nativeflow is an enterprise mobile data protection company.
According to an SEC Form D filing, Extreme Reach has closed $49 million in funding. Based in Needham, Mass., Extreme Reach is a video platform for integrated TV, online and mobile ads. Extreme Reach's previous backers include Village Ventures, Long River Ventures, Greycroft Partners and Spectrum Equity. UPDATED: According to a source familiar with the matter, Spectrum Equity led the round with participation from Village Ventures, Long River Ventures and Greycroft. Spectrum provided $35 million of the $49 million in funding.
Bluebox Security said Wednesday that it has raised $18 million in Series B financing. The investors in this round included Tenaya Capital as well as return backers Andreessen Horowitz, Sun Microsystems' co-founder Andreas Bechtolsheim and SV Angel. Headquartered in San Francisco, Bluebox Security is a provider of mobile data security solutions.
BeyondCore said Wednesday that it has closed $9 million in Series A funding. Menlo Ventures led the round. Based in San Mateo, Calif., BeyondCore is a provider of automated analytics solutions.
Health and fitness platform MyFitnessPal said Wednesday that it has acquired Sessions. No financial terms were disclosed. Based in San Francisco, Sessions is a personal coaching app. Its backers include Rock Health, Collaborative Fund, SV Angel and Australia's Blackbird Ventures.
Kapitall said Wednesday that it has received $13 million in funding. Linden Venture Fund led the round with participation from investors that included Bendigo Partners. Based in New York City, Kapitall is an investing platform.
