Proteus Digital Health has received $31.6 million in debt financing from Oxford Finance and Silicon Valley Bank. Headquartered in Alexandria, Va., Proteus Digital Health is a provider of digital health products.
Nexmo has raised $18 million in Series C funding. Sorenson Capital led the round with participation from existing investors Intel Capital and NHN Investment. As a result of the transaction, Fraser Bullock, managing director at Sorenson Capital, has joined Nexmo's board of directors. Based in San Francisco, Nexmo is a provider of messaging and voice capabilities to application developers.
Skystream Markets said Tuesday that it has secured $4 million in Series A funding. Connecticut Innovations led the round with participation from Advantage Capital Connecticut, the Clean Energy Venture Group and LaunchCapital. According to the firm, the capital will be used for product development and growth. Also, the company has named Daniel Rappaport to its board of directors. Based in Stamford, Conn., Skystream Markets is a provider of institutional transaction platforms for the renewable energy and environmental markets.
India-based real estate engine and listings site CommonFloor has closed $10.4 million in Series D funding, TechCrunch reported. Return backers Accel India and Tiger Global participated in the round.
According to Fortune, Dicerna Pharmaceuticals has priced its IPO of 5 million shares at between $11 and $13 per share. The stock will trade on the NASDAQ under the ticker symbol "DRNA." Jefferies, Leerink Swann and Stifel are acting as lead underwriters. Based in Watertown, Mass., Dicerna Pharmaceuticals is a developer of RNA interference-based therapeutics. Its backers include Domain Associates, Skyline Ventures, Deerfield Management, RA Capital, Abingworth Management, Brookside Capital, S.R. One Ltd. and Oxford Bioscience Partners.
Victor has closed 5 million pounds in Series A funding. The investors included Tim Richards, CEO and founder of Vue Entertainment; Andrew Pisker, co-founder of Richmond Park Partners; and Victor's founder and CEO Clive Jackson. Based in London, Victor is an online marketplace for private jet charters.
Knome has raised $13 million in funding. The investors were not named. Based in Cambridge, Mass., Knome is a provider of human genome interpretation systems and services.
ZipLine Medical said Tuesday that it has raised $4.3 million in Series C financing. RA Capital Management led the round with participation from return backers XSeed Capital and Claremont Creek Ventures. According to the company, the capital infusion will be used to broaden its sales and marketing initiatives. Headquartered in Campbell, Calif., ZipLine Medical is an emerging medical device company.
iNovia Capital has promoted Kevin Swan and Karamdeep Nijjar to partner. With offices in New York City, Montreal and Calgary, iNovia Capital is an early-stage VC firm focused on companies in the tech sectors.
Kareo said Tuesday that it has closed $29.5 million in funding. Greenspring Associates led the round with participation from OpenView Ventures and Silicon Valley Bank. Headquartered in Irvine, Calif., Kareo is a provider of cloud-based office solutions for small medical practices.
