According to MediaPost, New York e-mail marketing company LiveIntent closed $20 million in Series C funding. Bullpen Capital led the round with participation from lpha Capital, Valor Capital and Brazilian investor VR. LiveIntent will reportedly use the capital infusion to move to a bigger office and hire additional staff.
German growth equity firm Acton Capital Partners has raised over $110 million in the first close of its second venture fund. The target is $200 million and Its LPs include the European Investment Fund, LfA-EIF Facility and Hubert Burda Media
According to TechCrunch, Twice has closed $18.5 million in funding. Andreessen Horowitz led the round with participation from existing investors IA Ventures, Felicis Ventures and Lerer Ventures. Based in San Francisco, Twice is an online marketplace for women's secondhand clothing.
Adapteva has raised $3.6 million in Series B funding. The investors were Carmel Ventures and Ericsson. Based in Lexington, Mass., Adapteva is a multicore processor chip developer.
Alcyone Lifesciences has raised $4 million in Series B financing. Edgar D. Jannotta, Jr. led the round with participation from Harbor Light Capital Partners. Based in Concord, Mass., Alcyone Lifesciences develops products that treat neuropathological conditions.
Tales2Go said Thursday that it has closed $750,000 in funding. NewSchools Venture Fund and the Maryland Venture Fund led the round. Based in Bethesda, Maryland, Tales2Go is a provider of audio books for early childhood programs.
Salesfusion has closed $8.25 million in Series B financing. Noro-Moseley Partners, BLH Venture Partners and Hallett Capital led the round. Headquartered in Atlanta, Salesfusion is a provider of marketing automation solutions.
Google has acquired Impermium, the latter announced on its site. No financial terms were disclosed. Based in Redwood City, Calif., Impermium is a cyber-security startup. Its backers included Accel Partners, AOL Ventures, Charles River Ventures, Data Collective, Freestyle Capital, Greylock Partners, Highland Capital Partners, Morado Ventures and the Social+Capital Partnership. Boston-based bitcoin company Circle Internet Financial has named M. Michele Burns to its board of directors. Also, the firm has launched an advisory board and has tapped both Michael Barrett and Mike Hearn for it. Circle's backers include Jim Breyer, Accel Partners and General Catalyst Partners.
AqueSys said Thursday that it has raised $43.6 million in Series D funding. The investors included Accuitive Medical Ventures, The Carlyle Group, Longitude Capital, Rho Ventures and SV Life Sciences. Based in Orange County, Calif., AqueSys is a medical device company.
