PatientSafe Solutions said Tuesday that it has completed $27 million in total Series C funding. Merck Global Health Innovation Fund led the round with participation from Camden Partners, TPG Biotech, Psilos Group and EDBI, the investment unit of the Singapore Economic Development Board. Based in San Diego, PatientSafe Solutions is a provider of mobile technology for the healthcare market.
BlueData said Tuesday that it has closed $15 million in Series B financing. The lead investor was Ignition Partners. Return backers Atlantic Bridge Ventures, Intel Capital, Amplify Partners and Data Collective also participated in the round. In conjunction with the financing, Nick Sturiale, managing partner at Ignition Partners, joins BlueData’s board of directors.
UniversityNow said Tuesday that it has received $19 million in Series C funding. Bertelsmann SE & Co. KGaA and First Analysis Corp were the lead investors. Existing investors University Ventures, Novak Biddle Venture Partners, Kapor Capital and Bronze Investments also participated in the round. Based in San Francisco, UniversityNow is an operator of affordable, private university education.
Sepior has secured an undisclosed amount of seed funding. Seed Capital, a Danish VC fund, led the round. According to Sepior, the capital will be used for product development. Based in Denmark, Sepior is a provider of software solutions that protect data against hacking.
AIQ said Monday that it has received an undisclosed investment from Stonehenge Growth Equity. According to AIQ, the funding will be used to grow its product, AdviceIQ, an online directory of financial advisors. Based in Clifton, NJ, AIQ is a publisher of financial advisor directories.
Mobincube has raised 700,000 euros (approximately $946,000) in seed funding. Inveready led the round with participation from Bankinter and The Crowd Angel. Based in Valencia, Spain, Mobincube is a maker of software that allows users to create apps.
MediSafe said Monday that it has closed $1 million in financing. TriVentures and lool Ventures led the round. With offices in Israel and San Francisco, MediSafe is a provider of medication management solutions.
Beamonte Investments said Monday that it has made an undisclosed investment in Black House & Co. Based in Boston, Black House is a provider of co-working space for startups.
Travefy has closed $320,000 in seed funding. Investors included Columbia University's Lang Fund, the Nebraska Angels, Company X and Nebraska Global. Based in Lincoln, Nebraska, Travefy is a web-based group travel planner.
Visualead said Monday that it has received $1.6 million in Series A funding. Kaedan Capital and Entrée Capital led the round. Headquartered in Tel Aviv, Israel, Visualead is a mobile page design platform.
