Salsify said Thursday that it has raised $8 million in Series A funding from Matrix Partners and North Bridge Venture Partners. Based in Boston, Salsify is a provider of product content management solutions.
Insightly said Thursday that it has closed $10 million in Series B funding. Cloud Apps Management was the lead investor. Emergence Capital Partners, Sozo Ventures and TrueBridge Capital Partners also participated in the round. In conjunction with the funding, Matt Holleran, founder and managing director of Cloud Apps Management and Gordon Ritter, founder and general partner of Emergence Capital Partners, have joined Insightly’s board. Based in San Francisco, Insightly is a provider of CRM solutions.
Cogent Partners said Thursday that it has expanded its China team with an addition. Dominik Woessner, who works as a director for the company, has relocated from London to the Shanghai office. Prior to joining Cogent Partners, Woessner was at Greenpark Capital. Headquartered in Dallas, Cogent Partners is a private equity-focused investment bank.
AdTheorent said Thursday that is has raised $4 million in funding. The investors included Verizon Investments, Mogility Capital and OmniCapital Group. According to the company, the capital will be used to expand R&D as well as its sales and marketing initiatives. AdTheorent is a mobile ad network.
Specialty finance company CapX Partners has provided a $5 million lease line of credit to Caro Nut, a portfolio company of Candor AGS. The financing will be used by Caro Nut to buy equipment needed to build a new facility. Headquartered in Fresno, Calif., Caro Nut is a provider and distributor of limited source nuts to retailers.
Civitas Therapeutics said Wednesday that it has closed $38 million in Series B financing. Bay City Capital was the lead investor. New investor RA Capital joined existing investors Alkermes plc, Canaan Partners, Fountain Healthcare Partners, and Longitude Capital in the round. Concurrent with this funding, Rajeev Shah, partner at RA Capital and Dr. Rob Hopfner, partner at Bay City Capital, join Civitas’ board of directors. Headquartered in Chelsea, Mass., Civitas Therapeutics is a biopharmaceutical company that focuses on developing treatment for Parkinson's disease.
Calastone said that it has raised $18 million in funding. Accel Partners was the lead investor. Octopus Investments also participated in the round. Calastone is a transaction network for the global funds industry.
Wipit said Wednesday that it has received Series A funding from Core Innovation Capital. No financial terms were disclosed. Also, Arjan Schütte, managing partner at Core Innovation Capital, joins Wipit's board of directors. Wipit is a provider of mobile payment solutions.
ALung Technologies said Wednesday that it has raised $15.8 million in Series B-1 financing. Allos Ventures was the lead investor. West Capital Partners, Birchmere Ventures, BlueTree Capital Group, PLSG Accelerator Fund and Smithfield Trust Company participated in the round. Based in Pittsburgh, ALung Technologies is a maker of respiratory assist devices.
Virtustream said Tuesday that it has raised $40 million in Series D funding. SAP was the lead investor. Virtustream, which is backed by Intel Capital, Noro-Moseley Partners, TDFunds, Columbia Capital and Blue Lagoon Capital, is a provider of cloud solutions.
