Balihoo said Friday that it has raised $5 million from OpenView Venture Partners. The capital will be used for growth and product development. Based in Boise, Idaho, Balihoo is a provider of local marketing automation technology and services.
ZappRx said Thursday that it has received $1 million in seed funding. The lead investor was Atlas Venture. Life Sciences Angel Network also participated in the round. Jay Silverstein, founding member of Oxford Health, Will Cowen, founder and CEO of NaviNet and George Kassabgi, founder of Keas.com, have all been named as advisers to the company. ZappRx is a platform for electronic prescriptions.
Hearsay Social said Thursday that it has closed $30 million in Series C funding. Existing investors Sequoia Capital and NEA led the round. The funding will be used for product development, customer relations and marketing. Headquartered in Silicon Valley, Hearsay Social is an enterprise-ready social sales platform.
RunTitle said Thursday that it has raised $4 million in Series A funding. The lead investor was Austin Ventures. According to the company, the capital will be used for expansion, investments and marketing. Based in Austin, Texas, RunTitle is an online marketplace for mineral title information to the oil and gas industry.
Zuora said Thursday that it has raised $50 million in Series E funding. Investors included Next World Capital, Vulcan Capital, Northgate Capital, Benchmark Capital, Greylock Partners, Index Ventures, Redpoint Ventures, Shasta Ventures, Tenaya Capital, Workday founder and co-CEO Dave Duffield and Marc Benioff, chairman and CEO of Salesforce.com. Also, Abhishek Agrawal of Vulcan Capital and Craig Hanson of Next World Capital have been named to Zuora's board of directors. Headquartered in Foster City, Calif., Zuora is a provider of subscription commerce and billing solutions.
Boticca.com said Thursday that it has raised £2.5 million ($4 million) in Series A funding. Investors included UK-based MMC Ventures and Turkish entrepreneur Sina Afra. According to the company, the capital will be used for growth and global expansion. Bottica.com is a fashion accessories website.
ADVANCE Medical said Wednesday that it has closed $20 million in financing. New investors Aberdare Ventures and Arboretum Ventures participated in the round as did existing investors Venrock and Jose Bonchristiano. Also, the company has inked an agreement to acquire Brazil-based Imunotech Sistemas Diagnosticos, a distributor of laboratory and medical equipment. No financial terms were disclosed for this transaction. With facilities in Brazil and Mexico, ADVANCE Medical is a distributor of medical devices, diagnostics and laboratory equipment.
Aisle411 said Wednesday that it has raised $6.3 million in Series A financing. The lead investor was Cultivation Capital. Google’s Don Dodge, Plug & Play Ventures, the St. Louis Arch Angels, the Billiken Angels and the Springfield Angel Network also participated in the round. As a result of the funding, Dodge will serve as official advisor to aisle411 while Cultivation Capital's Rick Holton, Jr. and Dean VandeKamp join the company's board of directors. Headquartered in St. Louis, Missouri, aisle411 is a retail product location platform.
IZotope said Wednesday that it has received $12 million from ABS Capital Partners. According to the company, the funds will be used for product development, market expansion and sales/marketing initiatives. In conjunction with the financing, ABS Capital general partner Laura Witt and Dean Goodermote, a former CEO of an ABS Capital portfolio company, join iZotope's board of directors. Based in Cambridge, Mass., iZotope is a provider of audio technology.
RLJ Credit Opportunity Fund, a subsidiary of The RLJ Companies, has made an investment in Pivotal 5. No financial terms were disclosed. Headquartered in Chicago, Pivotal 5 is a provider of wellness and handheld fitness products.
