Saudi Aramco Energy Ventures, a unit of Saudi Aramco, said Wednesday that it has made an undisclosed equity investment in InflowControl AS. Based in Norway, Inflow Control is a provider of inflow control technology solutions.
Ubimo said Wednesday that it has raised $2 million in seed funding. The lead investor was Pitango Venture Capital. Serial entrepreneur and angel investor Eyal Gura also participated in the round. In addition to the funding, Rami Beracha, managing general partner at Pitango, has joined Ubimo’s board. Based in Tel Aviv, Israel, Ubimo is a provider of location-based mobile audience targeting technology.
ThingLink has raised $2 million in financing. The lead investor was Helsinki-based VC firm Inventure Oy. Terrapin Bale, Thom Beers, Trimaran Capital Managing Partner Dean Kehler, SoundCloud CTO Eric Wahlforss and TEKES, the Finnish Funding Agency for Technology and Innovation, also participated in the round. In conjunction with the funding, ThingLink has named Entertainment Media Ventures CEO Sandy Climan and former Facebook media sales director Craig Coblenz to its board of directors. And, former Meredith Publishing and Newsweek/Daily Beast executive Hillary Billingsley has been hired as chief revenue officer. ThingLink is a platform for creating and distributing images for blogs, web pages, social channels and advertising.
Belly said Wednesday that it has received $12.1 million in Series B-1 financing. Investors included New Enterprise Associates, Andreessen Horowitz, DAG Ventures, Lightbank, Cisco and 7-Ventures. Headquartered in Chicago, Belly is a customer loyalty platform.
Silicon Valley-based Fenox Venture Capital said Tuesday that it has led an undisclosed Series B financing round for Tech in Asia. Existing investors East Ventures and Simile Venture Partners also participated. Tech in Asia is a digital media company in Asia.
Specialty finance company Oxford Finance said Tuesday that it has provided a $5.5 million loan to PrimeSource Healthcare Systems. According to PrimeSource, the loan will be used both for growth and to refinance the company's existing loan facility. Headquartered in Buffalo Grove, Illinois, PrimeSource is a provider of on-site mobile healthcare in long-term care nursing facilities.
GuideSpark said Tuesday that it has raised $5 million in financing. The lead investor was Storm Ventures. IDG Ventures also participated in the round. According to the company, the capital will be used for growth and employee engagement strategies. Based in Menlo Park, Calif., GuideSpark is a provider of digital employee communications solutions.
Camera360 has closed $18 million in Series B financing. The lead investor was Susquehanna International Group China. Existing investors Gobi Partners and Matrix Partners also participated in the round. Based in Chengdu, China, Camera360, which is owned by Chengdu Pinguo Technology Co., is a mobile camera app.
Syndax Pharmaceuticals said Tuesday that it has closed $26.6 million in Series B financing. Investors included Domain Associates, MPM Capital, Forward Ventures and RusnanoMedInvest. Based in Waltham, Mass., Syndax Pharmaceuticals is a developer of epigenetic therapies for treatment-resistant cancers.
