Blue Cod Technologies said Tuesday that it has received an undisclosed investment in a round led by Edison Ventures. Headquartered in Marlborough, Mass., Blue Cod Technologies is a provider managed insurance services for the property and casualty industry.
WaterSmart Software said Tuesday that it has raised $4.5 million in Series A funding. The lead investor was The Westly Group. Physic Ventures, Draper Fisher Jurvetson and Apsara Capital also participated in the round. Also, in conjunction with the funding, Steve Westly will join WaterSmart's board of directors. Based in San Francisco, Calif., WaterSmart Software is a provider of customer engagement solutions for water utilities.
FilmTrack said Monday that it has raised $20 million from Insight Venture Partners. Also, Peter Sobiloff and Nikitas Koutoupes, managing directors at Insight Venture Partners, join FilmTrack's board of directors. And, Michael Lang, CEO of Lang Media Group, has also joined the company's board. Based in Studio City, Calif, FilmTrack is a provider of content and rights management for the film and television industry.
GridGlo said Monday that it has closed $1.1 million in funding. Existing investor CUBRC participated in the round. The company also announced that it will rebrand itself as TROVE Predictive Data Science. Headquartered in Delray Beach, Florida, TROVE is a provider of analytical solutions and data-driven insights.
Pelican Imaging has raised an undisclosed Series C investment from Panasonic Corp. The funding is in addition to the Series C round that closed in May 2013, in which the investors included Qualcomm Ventures, Nokia Growth Partners, Globespan Capital Partners, Granite Ventures, InterWest Partners and IQT. Headquartered in Mountain View, Calif., Pelican Imaging is a provider of camera technology for mobile devices.
HyTrust said Monday that it has raised $18.5 million in Series C funding. Investors included VMware, In-Q-Tel, Granite Ventures, Cisco, Trident Capital and Epic Ventures. Headquartered in Mountain View, Calif., HyTrust is a provider of cloud solutions.
Optimum Energy said Monday that it has received an undisclosed investment from Edison Energy. Based in Seattle, Optimum Energy, which is backed by Columbia Pacific Advisors, Navitas Capital and Johnson Controls, is a provider of enterprise optimization solutions.
Tokyo-based SunBridge Global Ventures has invested an undisclosed sum in WHILL. Itochu Technology Ventures, 500 Startups and Wingle Co. have also participated in the round. No financial terms were disclosed. Based in Menlo Park, Calif., WHILL is a provider of wheelchairs.
Taulia said Friday that it has closed $18 million in Series C funding. Zurich-based venture fund Lakestar was the lead investor. Existing investors Matrix Partners, Trinity Ventures, TELUS Ventures and DAG Ventures also participated in the round. Headquartered in San Francisco, Calif., Taulia is a provider of cloud-based invoice, payment and discounting management solutions.
SmartRecruiters said Thursday that it has raised $10 million in Series B funding. The lead investor was Rembrandt Venture Partners. The Mayfield Fund also participated in the round. Based in San Francisco, Calif., SmartRecruiters is a hiring platform.
