Mobile app developer moTwin has secured an additional $2.7M in financing, bringing the total amount raised by moTwin to $7.3 million. Investors included Sigma Gestion, Seventure Partners and Naxicap Partners. According to the company, the funds will be used for international expansion as well as personnel hiring at its Palo Alto office.
Loggly has raised $10.5 million in Series B financing. The lead investors were Cisco and Data Collective Venture Capital. Existing investors Trinity Ventures, True Ventures and Matrix Partners also participated in the round. Based in San Francisco, Loggly is a provider of cloud-based log management solutions.
Lithium Technologies said Tuesday that it has closed $50 million in financing. Existing investor New Enterprise Associates participated in the round. Allen & Company advised Lithium in the transaction. Also, Lithium has named former Yahoo! executive Tapan Bhat as senior vice president and chief product officer and NEA Venture Partner Brooke Seawell to its board of directors as audit committee chairman. Headquartered in San Francisco, Lithium Technologies is a provider of social customer solutions.
VHX said Thursday that it has raised $3.2 million in Series A financing. The lead investor was Union Square Ventures. Existing investors Lerer Ventures, Lowercase Capital and Alexis Ohanian participated in the round as did new investors William Morris Endeavor, John Maloney and Gunderson Dittmer. Also, Union Square Ventures' Andy Weissman will join VHX’s board of directors. Headquartered in New York City, VHX is a distribution platform for artists to sell videos from their websites directly to fans.
Retention Science said Thursday that it has raised over $750,000 in funding from Forerunner Ventures. According to the company, the capital will be used for product development and to expand its sales teams. In conjunction with the funding, Kirsten Green, founding partner of Forerunner Ventures, will join Retention Science's board of directors. Based in Santa Monica, Calif., Retention Science is a provider of big data analytics for online retailers.
ZenDrive said Thursday that it has closed $1.5 million in seed funding, per an announcement on the company's blog. Investors included First Round Capital, Max Levchin, Jerry Yang and Tim Ferriss. TrueAnthem has closed $2.6 million in financing. Investors included CrunchFund and Core Ventures Group. Based in San Francisco, Calif., trueAnthem is a social infuence platform.
Saudi Aramco Energy Ventures, a unit of Saudi Aramco, said Wednesday that it has made an undisclosed equity investment in InflowControl AS. Based in Norway, Inflow Control is a provider of inflow control technology solutions.
Ubimo said Wednesday that it has raised $2 million in seed funding. The lead investor was Pitango Venture Capital. Serial entrepreneur and angel investor Eyal Gura also participated in the round. In addition to the funding, Rami Beracha, managing general partner at Pitango, has joined Ubimo’s board. Based in Tel Aviv, Israel, Ubimo is a provider of location-based mobile audience targeting technology.
ThingLink has raised $2 million in financing. The lead investor was Helsinki-based VC firm Inventure Oy. Terrapin Bale, Thom Beers, Trimaran Capital Managing Partner Dean Kehler, SoundCloud CTO Eric Wahlforss and TEKES, the Finnish Funding Agency for Technology and Innovation, also participated in the round. In conjunction with the funding, ThingLink has named Entertainment Media Ventures CEO Sandy Climan and former Facebook media sales director Craig Coblenz to its board of directors. And, former Meredith Publishing and Newsweek/Daily Beast executive Hillary Billingsley has been hired as chief revenue officer. ThingLink is a platform for creating and distributing images for blogs, web pages, social channels and advertising.
