PlayOn! Sports said Monday that it has raised $26 million in Series D funding. Indianapolis-based Herff Jones was the lead investor. Existing investors Buckhead Investment Partners, Hamilton Ventures and Imlay Investments also participated in the round. Based in Atlanta, Georgia, PlayOn is a producer of high school sports events.
LiquidPiston said Monday that it has raised $6.5 million in Series C funding. The lead investors were Northwater Capital Management and Adams Capital Management. Also, LiquidPiston has named David Habiger to its board of directors. Based in Bloomfield, Conn., LiquidPiston is a developer of advanced internal combustion engines.
SaaS Capital, a provider of alternative growth financing for SaaS businesses, said Monday that it has provided $2.5 million line-of-credit to Clinicient. Headquartered in Portland, Oregon, Clinicient is a provider of outpatient rehabilitation business solutions.
Alcresta said Monday that it has raised $10 million in Series B financing. Existing investors Bessemer Venture Partners, Frazier Healthcare and Third Rock Ventures led the round. Also, Alcresta has promoted Robert Gallotto, co-founder and COO, to president. Based in Newton, Mass., Alcresta is a medical nutrition company that develops products for people with acute conditions or chronic diseases.
Elastic Path Software said Monday that it has received CDN$12 million in financing. Yaletown Venture Partners, a venture capital firm based in Vancouver, Canada, was a major investor, providing Elastic Path with CDN$4 million. Based in Vancouver, Elastic Path Software is a digital commerce company.
Contatta said Monday that it has closed $3.25 million in financing. Kickstart Seed Fund II and Grayhawk Venture Fund II were the lead co-investors. All of Contatta's current board members also participated in the round. Based in Phoenix, Arizona, Contatta is a provider of CRM solutions.
SynapDx Corp. said Monday that it has raised $15.4 million in funding. The lead investor was Google Ventures. Foundation Medical Partners also participated in the round as did existing investors North Bridge Venture Partners and General Catalyst Partners. In addition to the funding, SynapDx has named Google’s Andrew Conrad, PhD, to the company's board. Based in Lexington, Mass., SynapDx is a provider of diagnostic services for autism and neurodevelopmental disorders.
Maker’s Row said Friday that it has raised $1 million in seed funding. Comcast Ventures and Index Ventures were the co-lead investors. Headquartered in Brooklyn, NY, Maker's Row is a marketplace that connects American manufacturers with businesses.
Objective Logistics said Thursday that it has received $5.3 million in Series A funding. Atlas Venture led the round with participation from Google Ventures and Next View Ventures. The Massachusetts-based Objective Logistics is a provider of software solutions in the workforce.
Kapost said Thursday that it has raised $5.6 in funding. The lead investors were Lead Edge Capital and Floodgate. Existing investor High Country Venture also participated in the round. Based in Boulder, Colorado, Kapost is a content marketing software platform.
