Fund I will focus on making Series A funding in European hardware and software ventures that accelerate the energy transition.

Fund III's LPs include UBS, WovenEarth Ventures, Rockefeller Brothers Fund, the McKnight Foundation and Zoma Capital.

The investors included Global Founders Capital and previous backer Poisedon Investment Management.

Canapi Ventures, B2B software and financial technology venture and growth investor, has named Kristie Han and Connie Qian as principals.

Verdecanna was executive vice president and chief financial officer of Mandiant until its $5.4 billion acquisition by Google in 2022.

The firm is led by Jessica Owens, a former Kleiner Perkins partner, and Iana Dimkova, previously a director in the healthcare technology investing group of GE Ventures.

Akazhanov will focus on strategic growth equity investments in technology and tech-enabled services companies.
