Driveway Software has secured Round A funding led by IMI VC and Altair VC. Also joining in the funding are Kernel Capital and veteran Silicon Valley venture capitalist Peter Wolken. San Francisco-based Driveway Software provides smartphone-based telematics solutions for the auto insurance market.
ZeOmega closed a a $21.5 million growth equity financing led by Bregal Sagemount. Existing investors BlueCross BlueShield Venture Partners and Sandbox Industries participated in the round. TripleTree provided financial advice to ZeOmega. Frisco, Texas-based ZeOmega provides software solutions for population healthcare management.
Mind-NRG has closed a Series B financing raising 6 Million EUR (US$8 million). The round was led by LRM, a Belgian based investor specialising in Life Sciences, along with existing investor Index Ventures. Mind-NRG, of Geneva, Switzerland, is developing neuregulins to treat neurodegenerative diseases.
AppMesh has completed a $3 million investment led by InterWest Partners. Existing investors participated in the round and were joined by new investors, executive members of the Siebel Systems Founders’ Circle, as well as TDF Ventures. San Francisco-based AppMesh is an app that converges and optimizes salespeople’s inboxes, calendars and ongoing sales data sets. The company has raised a total of $4 million in investments.
General Catalyst Partners has led a $25 million growth equity financing round for Datto. Norwalk, Conn.-based Datto provides hardware- and cloud-based on- and off-site backup, disaster recovery and intelligent business continuity (IBC) solutions.
Kaiima Bio-Agritech said Tuesday it raised more than US$65 million in equity from three new investors as well as some current ones. The three new investors are: Horizons Ventures, the International Financial Corp., a member of the World Bank Group; and Infinity Group, a China-focused, private equity fund. Existing investors include: DFJ, DFJ-Tamir Fishman, Mitsui, KPCB, Oberlee and Musea Ventures. Kaiima is an Israel-based, seed and breeding-technology company.
ObsEva said Thursday that it closed a CHF 32 million (US$34.5 million) series A financing round led by Sofinnova Partners, and co-led by Sofinnova Ventures and Novo A/S. ObsEva also signed a licensing agreement with Merck Serono. As part of the deal, MS Ventures, Merck Serono's corporate venture fund, has taken a minority stake in ObsEva. Geneva-based ObsEva is a speciality biopharmaceutical company that is developing drugs for women's reproductive medicine.
Lendio has completed a $4.5 million Series B round of funding led by Runa Capital. Current investors Tribeca Venture Partners and Highway 12 Ventures also participated. South Jordan, Utah-based Lendio helps companies find business loans.
Audax Health has raised $20 million in Series B funding led by Navigy Holdings. Additional funds also came from current board member Jack Rowe, the former chairman and CEO of Aetna, and Dan Rose, VP of Partnerships at Facebook. Audax, which has offices in Washington D.C. and San Francisco, is a digital health company. Audax investors include Cigna, Cardinal Health and New Leaf Ventures.
MartiniMedia has secured $14 million in financing led by long-term investors Venrock, Granite Ventures, Reed Elsevier Ventures and Silicon Valley Bank. Fort Mill, S.C.-based Martini is a media and advertising company.
