Carnival Labs said Tuesday it raised $2.4 million in Angel financing. The round was co-led by Lerer Ventures and Gary Vaynerchuk with participation by additional investors: Flybridge Capital Partners, Bowery Capital, Google Ventures, David Tisch (BoxGroup), Jos White and Michael Lazerow. Carnival Labs, of New York and New Zealand, helps brands create and publish content and campaigns across their mobile audience.
Vestagen Technical Textiles said Tuesday it completed an $8.25 million financing led by Advent Life Sciences. Alliance Healthcare Investment Fund participated in the financing, along with founding investor V-Ten Capital and other private investors. Orlando, Fla.-based Vestagen develops and markets advanced performance textile products and technologies.
Slice, of Palo Alto, Calif., has closed $23 million in funding, led by Rakuten. Siguler Guff’s Russia Partners and NPD Group joined the round, while existing investors DCM, Innovation Endeavors and Lightspeed Venture Partners also participated. Slice's flagship app helps consumers manage their purchases, organize receipts, track shipping and take advantage of price adjustment.
Parse.ly has raised an additional $5 million in a series A funding round led by Grotech Ventures with participation from Blumberg Capital, ff Venture Capital, and FundersClub. New York-based Parse.ly provides analytics to publishers
MicuRx Pharmaceuticals said Thursday it raised $25 million in Series B financing led by BVCF. The round also includes existing investors Morningside Group and Devon Park Bioventures. Hayward, Calif.-based MicuRx is a biopharmaceutical company developing next-generation antibiotics.
Cloud Technology Partners closed a $5 million Series B round led by Oak Investment Partners. The round included funding from a new strategic investor as well as additional funds from existing investors State Street Bank and select angels. Boston-based Cloud Technology designs and builds cloud applications and infrastructures.
SocialChorus said Tuesday it a Series A round of $2.5 million. The company added a new investor, Windforce Ventures, and received additional funding from lead investor Kohlberg Ventures. San Francisco-based SocialChorus provides advocate marketing solutions. The company has raised $8 million in VC funding.
Ambiq Micro has closed a $10M Series B funding round led by Austin Ventures. Existing investors including ARM®, Mercury Fund, Huron River Ventures and other investors also participated. Austin-based Ambiq provides ultra-low power integrated circuits.
Square 1 Bank has provided a credit facility to NanoLumens. Financial terms weren't announced. Atlanta-based NanoLumens makes and markets flexible and fixed LED displays.
360pi said Monday it secured $4.1 million in financing from Silverton Partners and other investors. 360pi, of Ottawa, Canada, is a provider of retail price intelligence.
