ShopAdvisor said Friday that it closed a $5 million financing round led by Pittco Capital Partners. Additional investors include Seavest Capital, Rationalwave Capital Partners, and Boston-based investors Rob Soni and Bob Davoli. Boston, Mass., ShopAdvisor provides an app that attempts to bridge the gap between publishers, their advertisers and retail partners.
Restorando said Friday it closed $13.3 million in Series B funding led by new investor Flybridge Capital Partners. Existing investors Emergence Capital Partners, Kaszek Ventures, Atomico and Storm Ventures also participated. The Endeavor Catalyst Fund also took part in the round. Buenos Aires-based Restorando provides online restaurant reservations in Latin America. Restorando has raised a total of $17 million, which includes $3.7 million from a prior round.
DivvyHQ has received funding from Digital Sandbox KD and Dundee Venture Capital. The company has also hired Stacey Morse to be its VP of business development. DivvyHQ, of Kansas City, is developing a content marketing and editorial calendar application.
Swiftype has raised a seed round of $1.7 million from institutional investors Andreesen-Horowitz Seed, NEA, Kleiner Perkins and Ignition. Angel investors included Sam Altman, SV Angel, Alexis Ohanian, Paul Buchheit, Crunchfund, DST/Start Fund, Garry Tan, Harj Taggar, Jared Kopf, William Morris Endeavor, Data Collective, Scribd founders Jared Friedman and Trip Adler, and Tikhon Bernstam. Swiftype, a startup, is developing a search engine.
EQT has invested CHF 44 million (US$46.9 mln) in swiss smile. Switzerland-based swiss smile operates several clinics in that country and has franchises or joint ventures in UK, Russia and India. EQT says it has bought out swiss smile's existing minority shareholders.
Danmagi said Tuesday it received a "significant" investment from Exact Invest, Danish venture capital company. Financial terms weren't announced. Copenhagen-based Danmagi provides guest internet service provider for the hospitality and hotel industry.
Cyvera said Tuesday it raised $11 million in venture capital funding led by Battery Ventures. Serial entrepreneurs Prof. Ehud Weinstein and Dr. Ofir Shalvi, joined the round as well. San Francisco-based Cyvera provides cyber defense solutions to stop zero-day attacks.
Wanderu has raised $2.45 million round of funding led by Alta Ventures Mexico. Investors include Jeff Clarke, Orbitz' chairman; Bill Kaplan, chairman of Her Campus; Semyon Dukach; and, Drummond Road Capital. Boston-based Wanderu reportedly aggregates schedule and pricing information from bus and train companies.
LeadiD said Tuesday it raised an additional $1 million in capital from Genacast Ventures. LeadiD authenticates lead origin and history and the authentication platform of choice for firms of all sizes. Genacast was lead investor of LeadiD's initial $1.7 million seed round.
VeliQ has closed on a $9 million Series B round of financing led by Northcap, with T-Venture Holding to follow-up on its 2011 seed investment. Rotterdam-based VeliQ provides mobile device management software.
