Square 1 Bank has provided a $3 million debt facility to SellPoint. San Ramon, Calif.-based Sellpoint is an online video advertising platform.
Augme Technologies have secured an accounts receivable credit facility from Silicon Valley Bank. The loan allows Augme to borrow up to $5 million. Augme and unit Hipcricket provide a customer engagement platform.
GiveCorps has closed a round of angel funding worth $822,000. Investors include: The Abell Foundation; David Warnock, founder of Camden Partners; Vince Talbert, co-founder of Bill Me Later; Lou Pugliese, former CEO of Moodlerooms and former CEO of Blackboard; Frank Bonsal, Jr., co-founder of New Enterprise Associates (NEA); and, Joe Hardiman, former head of the National Association of Securities Dealers. Baltimore-based GiveCorps says it creates technology to make philanthropy easy and accessible to everyone.
Polaris Wireless said Tuesday that it completed a recapitalizatoon of of existing equity interests on April 25. The recap included closing a Series C financing with $10 million from Industry Ventures. Victor Hwang, an Industry Ventures MD, joined the Polaris board. Mountain View, Calif.-based Polaris provides software-based wireless location solutions.
STAT-Diagnostica closed a Series B round of financing totaling $22.1 million/17 million Euros led by new investor Kurma Life Sciences Partners. Other new investors participating in the round include: Idinvest; Boehringer Ingelheim Venture Fund; and, Caixa Capital Risc, the venture capital division of “la Caixa;” as well as existing investors Ysios Capital and Axis. Barcelona-based STAT-Dianostica develops "near patient testing systems" that aim to simplify and reduce time to results for the diagnosis of certain medical conditions.
Zimmer Holdings has acquired Knee Creations. Financial terms weren't announced. West Chester, Pa. Knee Creations is a provider of knee treatments. Knee Creations was funded with an angel equity round and a Series A equity round of financing, together with debt, led by Viscogliosi Brothers, Praefinium and Philadelphia Medical Investment Group.
