Investment bankers are gloomier about the IPO market this year, according to a survey from BDO USA.
Just half predict a boost in IPOs in 2012, down from 72% that foresaw an increase in new issues last year. Only 16% think any increase will be substantial, while roughly one-third, or 35%, predicts activity in 2012 will be flat compared to last year.

Qualium Investissement, the former CDC Capital Investissement, is expected to raise a little more than €500 million (US$650.1 million) with its sixth fund, a source says.
The PE subsidiary of Caisse des Dépôts began fundraising for the pool in January, the person says. The target was €500 million. In July, Qualium announced a €450 million interim closing effective June 30, according to a press release.

Five unaffiliated investors led by the Isaac Organization have paid $2 million for an equity stake in LiveDeal, the company said Wednesday. LiveDeal issued a total of 1,612,899 new shares of its common stock at $1.24 a share.

Nahla Azmy has left NRG Energy to become become MD-Investor Relations for Energy Capital Partners. Chad Plotkin, who has been with NRG Energy since 2007, will replace Azmy. He will be VP of Investor Relations at NRG.
