Maze Therapeutics said Feb. 28 that it raised $191 million in funding led by Third Rock Ventures and ARCH Venture Partners. Also participating were GV, Foresite Capital, Casdin Capital, Alexandria Venture Investments and other undisclosed investors. Maze, of San Francisco, develops medicines based on genetic modifiers.
Hortau said Feb. 27 that it raised $20 million in funding from Export Development Canada ($7 million) and Fonds de solidarité FTQ ($5.9 million). Also participating were existing investors Avrio Ventures LP II, Advantage Capital Agribusiness Partners LP, BDC Capital Inc and Capital régional et coopératif Desjardins. Hortau provides precision irrigation management services for commercial agriculture.
GIC Pte, Singapore’s sovereign wealth fund, was among investors that helped Coinbase raise $300 million last year, Bloomberg reported. GIC’s involvement in the fundraise wasn’t previously reported, the story said, noting that Tiger Global Management, Wellington Management and Andreessen Horowitz participated in the round.
Botify said Feb. 27 that it raised $20 million in Series B funding led by Idinvest Partners. Ventech also participated. Botify, of Seattle, provides an SEO platform that helps enterprises to build their websites.
After more than two years, Insight Venture Partners has put Ministry Brands up for sale, four sources said. FT Partners is advising on the process, the people said. YieldStreet said Feb. 26 that it raised $62 million in a Series B financing round led by Edison Partners. Greenspring Associates, Raine Ventures and a large multi-billion dollar NY family office also participated. YieldStreet, of New York, provides a digital wealth platform.
Lytics said Feb. 21 that it raised $35 million in a Series C round of financing led by JMI Equity. Also participating were current investors Comcast Ventures, Two Sigma Ventures, Rembrandt Venture Partners and Voyager Capital. Lytics, of Portland, Oregon, provides a customer data platform for marketers.
Mambu has raised 30 million euros ($33.8 million) in funding led by Bessemer Venture Partners. Mambu, of Berlin, provides a SaaS banking platform. GP Bullhound provided financial advice to Mambu.
Sensorberg said Jan. 15 that it closed a financing round. Financial terms weren’t announced but the round was in the mid-single-digit million Euro amount. BAUWENS digital GmbH and SIGNA Innovations participated in the round along with existing investors. Sensorberg, of Berlin, develops hardware and software for the digitalization and automation of buildings.
Africa Infrastructure Investment Managers is investing $31 million for a minority stake in BBOXX’s operations in Rwanda, Kenya and the Democratic Republic of Congo. BBOXX, of the U.K., designs, makes and distributes and finances plug and play solar systems across Africa. AIIM is a member of Old Mutual Alternative Investments.
